    Thought it would be a good idea to start this thread since our old faves like Shane Battier and Scott Brooks have moved on pretty well.[​IMG][​IMG]

    TEMPE, Ariz. -- Lisa Love is out and Steve Patterson is in as Arizona State University's athletic director.
    Patterson is the COO of Sun Devil Athletics and managing director of the Sun Devil Sports Group. His experience in sports management includes work with in the NFL with the Houston Texans and in the NBA with the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers.

    He's built the rocket championship team and also got Roy and Aldridge in the draft. He must have a crappy personality because he never gets credit for being a very good GM.

    Texans fans now, (i'm not one) should give this guy credit.
    Back in the day when I was working in Htown, he and Bob McNair started something called "NFL Houston". I told my coworkers that was Steve Patterson on my way to Ninfas, and they had no idea who he was.

    Well now the Texans are popular in Houston and he was one of the "engineers" who helped bring the NFL here.

    hard to tell, morey's franchise player(s) broke down, and that hindered what was otherwise a pretty damn amazing team.

    Patterson on the other hand had his franchise player go all universe for a couple years.
