A passerby, Raden Soemawinata, who happened to be on the pier that day to scatter his grandmother's ashes, wasted no time in stripping down and diving into the bay to rescue the animal.

#7 just strikes me as capitalism at work. They responded, and gave here a gift certificate for $3? Wow, faith in humanity restored! I guess it's better than no response.. .kind of.

    Otherwise, great stories!

    Rep... j/k ;)

Thanks for sharing. We need to have one of these every week. Or maybe an official "restore faith in humanity" thread.

Lulz a lot of posters thought I made threads for internet points. I actually just wanted to share something compelling without people calling me out on wanting green boxes, brahbrah.

^ and there it is (by RedNation).
There's no need to mention anything about "rep" if you don't really want to be repped. Those that do give you that, can, without question. It's the fact that you have to mention "not" to give it to you that got my attention. I hope you have discussed "reverse psychology" in your psychology class, sir. If you haven't, please read it. Yours seems textbook.

There are good things going on in humanity. Its more that they are LESS altruistic and selfless. And more about WHO gets credit. Or its about "resume builders". But better to be wrong in doing good than to be purely wicked.

I do notice there are a lot of MALES doing good things on those pics. Going by media message now, especially SOCIAL media which is female-centric (it just is) you'd think males are all boogey men lurking the bushes.

How is a pedophile supposed to restore my faith in humanity?
