I don't think you've been reading the news. There were the rasist chants at the dutch training. Many games have seen fines to the football federation for racist chants/actions/signs. I think every team that played Italy has gotten fined so far. There were many scuffles between fans before Poland/Russia. There have been reports of locals beating up fans in bars/pubs. All in all, I think it has gone very well. With so many people you'll never have a perfect tournament, but I wouldn't say there were "no incidents".
Dutch players were living and training in Poland, not in Ukraine, Dutch fans were living here, not a players.
Dutch coaching staff decided to live in Poland despite the fact that Kharkiv was ready to give them everything they can get, they wanted to take care of them at the best possible level. They made wrong decision and whole attention was payed for their fans. A lot of dutch fans promised to the media and to the community that will return to Ukraine at the first possible opportunity, such as ECL or Europa League game.

Dutch fans were really great, they made a show of every day in Kharkiv and they were one of the most beautiful things that had happened with this championship
... and he didn't play any game in Ukraine still. They will play their first ukrainian game in quarterfinals in Donetsk against England
All those things happened in Poland not Ukraine, so he is right. dutch trained in Poland, Italy only played in Poland, Poland/Russia fights in Poland.

You've lost a big time opportunity when ukrainian national team lost to England and was thrown out of the tournament because right now fan zones would be not just empty but simply they will be not as impressive as they were. When you have from 100 to 150 thousand people in the fan zone only, when girls were all over the place without they boyfriends and they were as hot as they can be, because they were feeling like they were going on date with so many men around... Damn, that was something. You know, I've worked with some beauties on my job and I was forced to be focused on the job, not on them, and I still was impressed by their hotness in a days when ukrainian national team was playing. Right now you should be focused on cafes, clubs and malls around every big city's center, especially on evenings. 30 minutes of walking around those places and I guarantee you that this would be enough to find something or even extraordinary in almost every place possible
Big time problem for Kyiv in that department is that students from other cities were forced to go back to their respective hometowns because our wanted to use their places in campuses as a hostels for international fans. That was huge, a lot of hot girls left Kyiv because of it, so you can only meet locals out there. If you want to have something really special, you should go to Odessa, one of the most wonderful places in former Soviet Union, especially at spring and the first five or six weeks of the summer
And you should visit Lviv if you want to see a special city, it's one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe alongside Prague and Vienna. Not according to me, according to UNESCO
