No, the only pick involved in the trade was #46.

And this is why bad teams stay bad.

Washington just completely wrecked thier core by tying up all thier cap room with two bad players.

    Wall/#3/Nene was a good foundation.

This trade has gotten them right back to Arenas/Jamison/Butler level for the next five years.

5 years? How long do you think the Ariza/Okafor contracts last? (2 years - assuming Ariza opts in.)

This post makes no sense??? They still have

    Wall/#3/Nene

I don't think this was a great trade for Washington, but you can at least see what they're trying to do. They should be one heck of a defensive squad, and frankly Wall/Beal/Ariza/Nene/Okafor should be competitive.

There is no where near enough offense there, but that could be a playoff team in the East.

They have re-created the Hornets from 3-4 years ago with a less talented PG and C.

They had a huge expiring and Wall/Beal/Nene locked in for years, why not wait and use the cap space on actual good players in free agency?!

Congratulations Washington, your team will never win a title.

Agree. With good coaching they are going to be a competitive team in the East.

Really it depends on if they hit on that #3 pick...if they do who knows.

Okafor and Ariza are solid players. If the Wizards do actually make the playoffs then their contracts will not seem that bad.

Can we sign Rashard Lewis after he's cut? We're only 14 years late.

    Freaking Bryce Drew.

Remember Lewis can be bought out for around $13 million.

Would Orlando do Lewis, #10, #46, a future first, Aminu, Smith, Jack for Dwight and say Big Baby and Duhon or QRich?

Can you imagine DWill walking to the Hornets?

    DWill/Gordon/whoever/Dwight/Davis

This is nuts. But they're a legitimate candidate to get Dwight.

I don't see why Dwight would want any piece of NO. He wants bright lights.

I don't either. But Benson is a big time owner. And Dwight doesn't really get to decide for another year. The question is would Orlando take the deal I described. They get massive cap space, especially with all those expiring contracts. They get Aminu who could be moved for another first round draft pick. They get the #10, #46, and another future first from New Orleans. If I was going to have to trade Dwight and I could get all that cap space plus the picks, that's a pretty tempting package.

And if Dwigt ended up in N.O. and DWill comes in and signs a max deal there, then it is going to make Dwight think long and hard about walking away.

    Think about it.

DWill/Gordon/Davis/Dwight. Dwight is NOT going to find a better supporting cast anywhere else.

So, we've finally found a serious threat to the Rockets trading for Dwight. Flame away, but if this thing goes past July 1 and Dwight hasn't been traded, then the Hornets could move to the head of the class if they secure an agreement with DWill to sign there.

The lights are all bright when you've had a few bubblies on Bourbon Street and you got a girl under each arm. Could be right up Dwight's alley.

That IS a playoff team if John Wall takes his game to the next level. Usually 3rd year is when PG's really make their mark and I think Wall's finally got some good veteran pieces around him to help him be better.

Other than A. Davis, who'll be a star but needs a couple years to develop and flesh out, who's NO's power forward?

It won't happen, but would Demps still like Scola? You know, we get Rashard (buyout) + #10 and give them Scola and Dalembert (buy-out-able) and...

    Oh, never mind.
