By invoking executive privilege President Obama has tacitly admitted he and his administration were involved in the "Fast and Furious" scandal. Personnally, I hope Congress holds Eric Holder in contempt and then in federal prison where IMO he belongs. Of course, Holder is protecting Obama, but the truth will out. A special prosecutor without ties to either major political party is needed to ferret out the truth and to give justice to a slaughtered federal law officer.

Couldn't you have posted this in the other thread?

Anyway I will say what I said in the other thread. That is a pretty big conclusion you are jumping too. This is no admission that the office of the President was directly involved since the DOJ is already under the Executive Branch they can declare Executive privilege without direct involvement.

That said though I certainly don't think this is a good thing and heads should roll over Fast and Furious.

Good luck getting a legitimate conversation/debate out of this, because it's probably Bush's fault you "stupid right-winger."

Once again SamFisher is trying to distract others from the topic at hand, by introducing the absurd.

Sam -- this is a variation of trolling. To redeem yourself, you can offer your opinions on the matter.

What other thread? Obama just declared the papers to be under executive privilege a few hours ago.

Why else would Obama suddenly declare executive privilege when even Holder a few months ago said they would not? It seems the heat is no longer confined to the kitchen.

Why did Rep. Issa originally demand documents from Holder that the Attorney General is prohibited by law from providing? It seems you don't know the difference between heat and a hole in the ground.

The request has been lodged. Each second you tarry is at your own peril.

The request was made by duly elected U.S. Representatives of these United States. It is their job to look into why Holder lied to them and now is stonewalling their investigation of the murder of a federal agent.

    OH NO. This is unprecedented.

Oh wait, it happened in 2007 when the Democrats did the exact same thing to Bush.
