Here is an excerpt from an article I found on AOL regarding Gasol and Bynum's future with Lakers:

Asked by the L.A. Times’ T.J. Simers about the chances of Bynum and Gasol both being with the team for the start of the 2012-13 season, Buss responded, “Very good.”

Buss said he does not agree with those calling for Gasol to be traded.. "I think changes are going to be made moving Pau lower to the basket,” Buss told Simers. “We can improve that way with a change in coaching strategy rather than a change in personnel."

Liar, liar pants on fire unless he's realizing Pau's trade value isn't that high. They cannot get back equal talent because he's so overpaid.

But if you don't like the Lakers, you hope this is true. The Bynum/Pau/Kobe horse gets deader each year. Pau and Kobe are probably sick and tired of looking at each other.

Lakers are done for the next 5-6 years unless a huge trade happens. The West belongs to OKC. No other team matters.

Derek Fisher was probably the only player who wasn't sick of looking at Kobe year after year.

Seriously, there is a reason why dominant big man don't like to play on Kobe's team. Shaq didn't like it. Bynum and Gasol are tired of it. Howard said he didn't want to go to the Lakers if Kobe's there.

He said what he had to say, nobody will talk down the value of their own players. Morey did the same thing after Lowry made his recent comment. Even if you intend to trade a guy, you have to deny that you intend to do it. Every team involved in any kind of rumor about wanting to trade a player or a pick comes out denying it.

Channeling old Marvel Comic book called "What IF..."

What if the Lakers dealt (and Kobe agreed) Bryant to another team, instead of Bynum or Gasol?

    Where would he go?

Who would these new mysterious Lakers be?

I totally discount everything owners and GM's say. They are just trying to affect market value of an asset or spreading rumors and innuendo. Lies and damn lies.

Probably no one would be willing to accept Kobe's salary. What is it 45% of your salary cap?

It's hard enough trading Pau's 2yrs/$38 million contract. Kobe would be virtually impossible to move at 2yrs/$58 million. Lakers are in salary cap jail. I love it.

Funny thing with Kobe is unlike most players, he'll be well worth on and off the court. You realize how much revenue he generates. You could eliminate Kobe's entire NBA pay, and he's still the 2nd most valuable basketball player in terms of revenue in the world.
