I thought the show was great. The crowd did get annoying at a few points. I was the guy that got him to say "gangstas don't text!"
I'll just leave this here...I thought about keeping it to myself, but I love you all. http://www.symfonee.com/improv/houston/comedians/Bio.aspx?Uid={9b6bc8bf-cdf2-11d3-be74-00a0c960873b}
The show last night was ridiculous and one of the weirdest comedy shows I have ever been a part of. The crowd was so damn frustrating and annoying, they would not stfu. Its the only time I have ever been embarrassed of being an Austinite. I still enjoyed it but I would have much rather heard him do some new bits or material instead of "battle" the crowd.
If you get tickets and I don't; I'll be waiting for you outside of the improv. I'll be looking for the Aggie. To anyone that went to either of the previous shows; what was the start time? My girlfriend doesn't get off work until 8pm.
We'll see. I'm having bad luck with last minute online type orders. I get the feeling I'm going to be hammering refresh for 10 minutes and they'll all be sold out. I might stand in line for tickets @ 6 if that happens, but it would suck most highly.
what exactly do y'all mean the crowd wouldnt shut up, exactly? what kind of things were they saying? Was it just a bunch of morons screaming out things like "Rick James" or something?
i hope not, that would defiantly ruin the show for me. it's like the annoying b**** on that episode of louie last year.
References to old bits and yelling over one another to try and get Dave to address them. Not all of the audience interaction was like that though.
It's so annoying when people do that. Like scream out the band's #1 song. Ray Lamontagne was pretty awesome. After his first song, somone yelled out a song and Ray replied with "just so you know, if you yell out a song I wont sing it". i found a little article about Austin's show...seems like the crowd may have ruined their chance at seeing his act. http://digitaltexan.net/2012/austin...paramount-disaster/article36246/#.T-H7mxdrPK0
damn, now i can't decide whether or not to buy tickets, i've never seen him. who knows when i'll get another chance. how have the reviews in other cities been?
