    Yes!

14th and 16th + Scola could def get Al Jefferson from Utah along with a guy like Alec Burks.

I am but you guys are not calculating the monetary situation and what potential difficulty is to get rid of that contract once he really turns into a bum... he is 32 I may remind you again.
So you are saying just because the Lakers are in a mess, we should take the least popular of their big 3 and be happy about it? Have we dropped so low?

Maybe I just don't get the love for 30 year olds because I want to get some young talent.
Unless that 32 year old is a Top 5 player named Lebron or Durant of course

OK you do not understand the situation the Lakers put themselves into. I highly recommend that you take the time to read Carl's posts.

Pau has only 2 years left on his contract. He has been a WC all star 3 out of the last 4 years. Two years is not salary cap hell.

I believe that I have a very good grasp of the monetary situation. Carl obviously has a better understanding. He posted a helpful table above. Please read and understand it.

With all due respect, that's simply your opinion. And why would Utah want Scola in a trade involving Jefferson, when they have Millsap and Favors?

Ok. Finally I have read that. Given that retooling or what they are trying to do here takes normally 2 years how does a Gasol trade for Lowry, or those picks help in the future? Where will Gasol be in two years?
What are we going to do in those two years... going after Howard? Deron?

How does it help Dmo.... those are similar players, both not athletically the most gifted, with Dmo being the much better one here.
You want a line up of two Euros and a sophomore in Parsons as your front court? Might as well go the other route......
What is that you want to achieve with Gasol? Making the playoffs..?
This is just a small goal....... Being in the WC finals and finals is major.
We are just not that good.
Yes Gasol is an allstar, but he is not the best of group, and surely not playing well the last years.... no matter how you blame Bynum, Kobe and the rest

This question can't be answered until we can see who is available at the #14 spot. If Lamb or Rivers are still there, then you have to keep that pick; both players have the ability to grow into all-star players because of their ball-handling skills coupled with their shooting.

The #16 pick is easily trade-able, along with established quality players such as Lowry or Scola (but not both), but I wouldn't fork over both picks if there is high-potential guard talent available with our first draft pick.

If not gasol it should be another seasoned vet. I mean, what are you gonna do with 14 n 16th pick? Get another middle up player like parsons or an undeveloped morris which will take another 3-4 years to develop into decent players? They really need to perform now..it's already been 4 years of dismality for the rockets and collecting young middle skilled draft players won't help.

Supposedly the Rockets want to add young veterans in change for their picks. The key word is young so let's pray Pau is not considered young and if we trade both picks in this deep draft Morey is the biggest freaking idiot GM ever.

The Lakers used Pau Gasol like a cheap you know what, and Morey is just swooping in for the sloppy seconds

The Lakers would be the winners in the deal with us. if Pau is so valuable why do so many Lakers Fans want him gone

I don't want Pau. I think if we move up in the draft we are much better off and closer to a rebuild, which is what I want. It wouldn't be the end of the world if we got Pau because Pau is a great player and might entice others to come. I think we trade up in the draft, risk it, and if the player busts then we will end up with a better draft pick next year.

Not sure if I would prefer us tanking for another season with safe draft picks or trading for a PF who can play but has publicly stated that he has no desire to come here.

I'd rather us ship Scola and Martin for someone who can make more of an impact, but even if we do that (which I doubt the Lakers would bite on, considering they only wanted to trade with us to get Chris Paul). The Lakers might end up asking for Lowry and Scola. I'd rather us keep Dragic and Lee over Martin and Lowry.

Sure Dragic's impact was over a smaller sample size but we definitely know he can play, we just have to be willing to pay him.

Oh the draft can't come soon enough. If OKC wins the next three games and the Rockets actually execute a plan in an amazingly positive direction I'd be ecstatic.

If the chance to trade up for Drummond, Meyers, or Perry Jones is tossed aside so Morey can use his assets to trade for Gasol, Les deserves every empty seat and every season ticket holder no show. There is no future with a 33 player, especially one who doesn't want to be here.

I would ABSOLUTELY trade those picks for Gasol. Hell, I'd trade next years picks too. Gasol is that good. He's a superstar in the making.

Get 'er done, Morey. Do whatever it takes.

    Gasol = multiple championships.

EDIT: Is it possible to vote 'yes' more than once in this poll? That's how strongly I feel.
