Are you usually able to meet the comedians after? I've seen Bill Burr at this venue before and was able to get my picture taken with him after the show (although I suspect a big reason for that was that he was selling stuff).
pretty wild but for being a writer he sure does have a hard time describing a scenario...but good lord, i was having a hard time of what he was trying to say half the time.
His stand-up are bad, honestly. I get the impression most of the laughs are pity laughs. Charles Murphy has a marginally better stand-up, only if he's not high, and he's telling a story.
You think Chappelle's stand up is bad and people are giving him pity laughs? You also think Charlie Murphy's is better (for the record I like Charlie Murphy's stand up)? I get the impression we wouldn't get along very well.
Of Chappelle's standups, I think they are funny. I've only seen one Charlie Murphy one, and it was very bad.
Last nights show was okay. It was around 30 minutes of material and around an hour and a half of just talking with the crowd (unfortunately the crowd would never stfu).
I'd pay $50 to listen to Chappelle b.s. with an audience. I've seen enough interviews with him to know the guy is very intelligent. I'm sure he said more than one interesting thing.
I watched that. I think he was having a hard time because he wanted to basically heap all the fault on Dave Chappelle (basically saying Dave screwed him), but he's "friends" with him again so he was trying to be careful.
