I'm sick of talking about what ifs, Yao and injuries. Yao is a good man let him retire in peace. Good luck Shane.
Yao Ming was dominated by Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer while players like Battier and Tracy Mcgrady left it all on the floor. And who gets the blame?
You can't win an argument with "if" or any playoff series or conference finals or championships. "if" doesn't count. Neither what scenarios you have in your head. only reality is real.
I'm not even going to bother looking at your posts but I bet you were one of the many people who said if anybody deserves to win despite joining a super team it would be Shane.
Miami wanted Shane, they wanted a guy without an ego, a guy who's dependable and healthy, and a guy who is willing to play defense.
Amen, I hope Shane gets not 1, not 2, not 3......rings. LOL! Class guy deserves a championship, & I hope he gets one.
I am pretty sure Shane is referring to the 09/10 playoffs, when if anyone of Yao OR Matumbo OR Tracy OR (I recall there was someone else that got hurt too) were healthy we could beaten the Lakers who then won it all later that year...
Maybe he feels bad that Yao and him never played with a player like LeBron who you know will always be healthy.
Ridiculous...... Dirk at his age was slightly past his prime when he won it..... Look at what he got as his supporting cast... You don't need Lebron in his prime to win it..... Wade and 35 year old Shaq were enough..... .... and obviously Spurs did not have the right mix in the end......so your speculations around the NBA maybe, no.... are definitely off most of the time. Your hate for certain players cloud your senses.
i don't know what you are talking about dude. Shane is on the Miami Heat now, he's playing with the MVP Lebron James. I'm assuming he wishes his pal Yao got a chance to play with an MVP like Lebron. Yao never played with an MVP before. Steve Francis wasn't an MVP.
Kind words from Battier..... guy thinks of others..... To be honest Yao and Tmac had superstar potential but neither did play like one for more than one or two seasons.... Tmac was a superstar in Orlando and maybe in 2005/06, then became merely a better allstar.
you obviously didn't watch the Rockets well enough. Tmac was a superstar here. His scoring average changed because he was playing with JVG and a defensive minded system, he played with Yao who got equal touches, and he played in the better western conference. You forgot that Tmac in Orlando played in the Leastern Conference and he was free to jack up as much as he wanted to. Don't kid yourself, we got the REAL T-MAC. He didn't suddenly suck when he put on the Rockets uniform and took off that Orlando uniform (oh when he left Orlando sucked major ass so they got the #1 pick in Dwight Howard, Tmac was part of the team that did that for Orlando) His decline was based on conditioning, injuries, and attitude.
I said in my post that we got the Tmac but for how many seasons? We got him at the end of 04. His decline began in late 06, 07, he already worked out wrong. So we had him for two years as a true superstar..... well crap two year span...... Front Office did not surround him with Shaq for those two years... As said before, it seems hard to comprehend but if you pair up frail Mac and Yao with Harden,Ibaka, Battier and a more capable PG in Lowry. You will get better results but that's hindsight. If you have future allstars or more borderliners to soften the fall when either one get injured.... that did not happen... all is good.
