Just give me Toronto's #8 and ??? for Lowry .... I'll take Leonard and not look back. Think he will be the much better pro player.

    Portland can have Drummond.

I understand this too,but the potential to get a solid big guy is too great to risk. If the guy turns out,the team is set and the other teams can't get that kind of guy via free agency. Think about this, the lakers turned down a chance to get jason kidd with plenty of good years left for bynum. If you really think about it, bynum hadn't even really showed a lot and still could've gotten kidd with him. Chandler hasn't lived up to the #2 pick and neither has okefor, but in terms of centers, they're good enough. The risk of flopping and being a bust is great, but the pay off is just as sweet. I mean minus the injuries, kaman has been a pretty good center. Kaman, lopez, gortat, bynum, okefor, chandler, noah, gasol, hibbert, peckovic. None of those guys are great players, but they're good players playing a rare position. That's worth the risk to me.

I agree. I think at this point we almost have to take a risk and roll the dice and hope it pays off especially considering that Davis is the only sure thing. With that said if Drummond turns out to be like any one of those guys you listed I'd be ecstatic. The majority of those guys you listed have highly skilled offensive games and or good basketball IQ and get Paid premium $$$$. As I mentioned if we were to have an opportunity to draft Drummond and do and he puts himself in a position to earn premium bucks we'd all be happy campers.

drummond is just a shorter hasheem without the awkward stride and some familiarity with you know basketball. in other words...do not want. I'd rather have jordana hill.

I'm always amazed how few NCAA threads float around during the college season, but right around draft time everyone becomes an expert.

I would take a chance at getting DRummond if he can do this in a regular NBA game.

How about a s&t with batum and #6 for Lowry and 14? Or even 11 and Barnum for Lowry and 16? Or the 6 instead and throw in bud? Then we can draft a Drummond and a sg.

I would think we have to do this trade if it was presented to us. I don't know why Portland would want to do it, but if they did, I'd be all over it.

I'm not that high on Drummond, but you got to at least give him a shot. Maybe McHale will remind us why he was hired.

You guys got me interested in the Howard comparison so I did a little research

    Heres one article : http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/blog...raft-andre-drummond-dwight-howard-kwame-brown

Its hard to compare the two other than athletism and height ...because Howard never played college ball.

But here is my thought...morey has mchale , camby , Hakeem and CD to compare and swap notes with to evaluate if he is capable of becoming a legit star.... He also has a season of watching thabeet .... And knowing what to look for in a bust.

I believe those things will help morey make the correct decision of this is an option

Thabeet will never, on his best day, ever be able to do any of the things Drummond did here. I know this is a cherry-picking video, but the guy is young. Thabeet should be wearing a helmet. I mean, like, all the time.

I would roll the dice with Drummond. With McHale and Camby both there to help point this kid in the right direction, there are worse things we could do than give up a PG who is going to deliberately continue to lower his value anyway, and one of two middling first-round picks which we don't need anyway, since we have so many rookies waiting in line already.

    DO it Morey!

If we can get rid of the attitude problem with Kyle and move up in the draft to the number 6 pick, sure, get it done.

Lowry is not important if we have Dragic long term.

Really? I think that Morey would love to get his fat paws on Drummond. Morey covets talented post players, shot blockers and would be buying Drummond at a discount cost... 12 months ago Drummond would have gone #1.

I think people don't realize that he was a young College freshman. He is still 18 years old right now. He doesn't turn 19 until NBA training camp.

I think if Morey does get the #6 pick, I can see him package that with other picks and players and send trade it for Dwight Howard. Orlando will rebuild with Drummond and other picks, while Rockets get Howard and convince DWill to come play in Houston. Its risky...But Rockets need to start huge risks.

This would be a homerun, but I would like to move the 16th instead of the 14th, as I have dreams of snagging both Drummond and PJIII.

    I want high upside guys.

I think the article is right
The only way to not overpaying Dragic is trading Lowry to Portland.

    Lowry + 14 +16 for 6 + 11+ 41 sounds better

if houston dont make that deal is because they are keeping Lowry, to trade him for for Howard or gasol
