No way bro. This guy's a top 10 talent. He has the most polished offensive game of any of the bigs in my opinion. And he's 6'11". Detroit needs a PF to pair with their center. It makes perfect sense.

He's one of the surest prospects in the draft IMO. Would be a great pickup for Houston if Dontas wasn't coming over, because they have very similar games.

That's not bad, because I want Henson instead. We have a better chance moving up to #10/#11 than #9.

From what I've seen Moultrie projects as a role player or empty stats guy, so Detroit taking him at #9 would be a pretty big reach IMO.

There seem to be a lot of people on this board who like Moultrie quite a bit though, so maybe I'm missing something.

I see Moultrie as a facination guy like Jordan Hill where people talk about his "potential" more than what he has actually done on the court.

I would be stoked if Detroit took him because that means other more known bigs in the draft like Henson and Zeller might be falling back to Houston's spots. Henson and Zeller might be more safe bets, but when it comes to an NBA big, there is nothing wrong with taking a big man that you know exactly what he can bring to the table.

That is unless that big man has the potential to be a dominant big man. In this draft there is only 1 with that kind of potential outside of Anthony Davis, and that is not Moultrie.
