What a bizarre rally for the Royals. A bloop here, a bloop there, a seeing-eye single and before you know it, they're right back in it. Certainly not a good outing for Myers, but it's also not like they were stinging the ball off of him for the most part.
I suppose this is a statement by Myers that he: 1) Doesnt want to be traded 2) Hates being called to pitch in non-save situations
I watched/listened to the Indians come back against the Mariners years ago but this would be the next biggest I've seen for sure.
Stupid Mills again! Why bring Myers in with a seven run lead? Then why leave him out there when he clearly did not have command. Mills sucks
"I'm going down, I can't believe this is happening in my own town. If I had a sick slider I would start...regulator!" He really likes houston to sink his trade stock like this. =)
he's pitched once in 8 days. standard procedure to get your closer work if he's pitched that little recently. and he probably didn't want to embarrass a veteran/nutcase by pulling him there until he absolutely had to. guess he could have pulled him 2, 3 batters max earlier. i'm as critical of mills as the next guy, but he didn't really do much wrong there.
