Dude, get Pau and offer anything and everything it would take to the Grizz to get his Bro Marc.

    C--Marc
    PF--Pau

That would be a solid foundation for a team.

OK well I really don't know what to say to that except that that is your unsupportable opinion.

Not sure we want or need old Pau when we have young Motijunas.

Pau's a good player .... Just not worth the near $19m he's owed this coming season nor the $19.285m he's owed in the following season.

If we were talking about ~$10m (scola's deal) I'd take him in a heartbeat ..... but he prohibits building a team around him and he's a robin to a batman.

Edit: Corrosion beat me to the punch.

Just say no to Pau. Let the T'Wolves have him. Ha, I can't wait 'TIL this **** ends. Beaten to death. Forget 2 cents, everyone has thrown in their own dollar and then some.

I'm not paying and the Rockets shouldn't pay an additional 8-10 million for marginal improvement.

    Scola:
    11-12: 16/7
    Career: 15/8
    PER: 15.5
    Contract:
    12/13: $09,408,207
    13/14: $10,224,622
    14/15: $11,041,037
    Total: $30,673,866
*Final year fully unguaranteed but guaranteed if performance milestones are met.

    Gasol:
    11-12: 17/10
    Career:19/9
    PER: 20.5
    Contract:
    12/13: $19,000,000
    13/14: $19,285,850
    Total: $38,285,850

    No thanks. DO.NOT.WANT. Pass.
No gracias. HAGA. no. NECESIDAD. Paso.

Pau is a center. He won his rings playing center. D-Mo is a PF.

Kevin McHale is an offensive genius, so we should have nothing to worry about.

Pao has only two years left on his deal, and he's a much better player than Scola.

He'd know to feed Gasol in the post. K Mac would look a lot better if Pao were getting those touches instead of Pat down the stretch.

Who needs Pau when we have this other guy who's never stepped foot on an NBA court? Especially since Morey's last couple of first round picks have set the world on fire in their first season.

    Scola: 9,400,000 10,200,000, 11,000,000
    Lowry: 5,700,000 6,200,000
    Total: ~$42.5 million

And aren't NBA centers the absolutely hardest position to fill with an impact player?

I see that. It's possible Scola only has 2 years left on his deal too.

Is Gasol so good and/or so much better than Scola that he's worth paying an extra 8-10 million for? Maybe you think so, but I do not.

Gasol is a center. Scola is a PF. Center is the highest payed position in the NBA. So IMHO yes.

Gasol is a PF that can play center for periods of time. I'm not gonna debate you on that, so don't bother.

    Definitely. :)

I'm just hoping Gasol is a Magic and Dwight is a Rocket.

Why would Orlando want Gasol? if they trade Howard they are likely to want young inexpensive players with upside and high draft picks. The last thing they want is an old soft expensive player that is not going to be happy playing there.

Because they may want Gasol and a combination of youngsters while offloading some junk contracts with Dwight so they can stay competitive and still make the playoffs, and still look for other ancillary moves to get over the top.

I'm not saying they should do that. But we don't know who the new GM is or what their modus operandi is going to be. Pau, for all the grief he is given, is a top 5 pivot in the NBA. Orlando could do a lot worse. And I don't think the lakers can do much better than Lowry and Scola for Pau.
