Hoopshype has a ranking of all FAs this summer:

    http://hoopshype.com/free_agent_rankings.htm

I think they have Dragic (19th) and Courtney Lee (52nd) way too low. Dragic being behind old Jason Terry? Lee being behind the discarded Jordan Hill and Shannon Brown?

In a somewhat related news, Lou Williams from the Sixers opted out of his contract, and is speculated as being able to find a contract in the Thaddeus Young range (5 years, $43 million).

    http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/sixers/159389915.html

I wonder if this is going to be similar to what Dragic can anticipate (here are Lou Williams' stats, btw: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/willilo02.html). He is a 6th man of the year candidate the leading scorer for Philly despite playing only 26 mpg, get to the line and doesn't turn the ball over. Certainly capable of being a starter somewhere in the right situation.

I know Dragic deserves better but at the end of the day this helps us more.

The more the media downgrades Dragic the better for us.... right?

Lee - Early 40s range. Switch with guys like Augustin, Belineli, Danny Green.

Dragic - No real problem. If I were to nitpick, maybe move him up(or (15)Lin down).

Yea but i feel the experts i.e. GMs of the league think that list is a joke.

Hope that the Rockets resign Goran. I'd go ahead and sign Zoran as well and see what he brings to the table.

I am totally for overpaying Dragic. Lee on the other hand ...

I'd pay a premium to keep Dragic , he's an all around player , as is Lee .... I see Lee as more of a 6th man type than a starter tho and think his contract offers will reflect that .... Wont have to overpay to keep him as offers will be reasonable.

I'm very curious to see how the new CBA will affect this year's FA. Under old rules, I would be 100% certain that a playoff team over the cap will offer Lee the full MLE, similar to the Ariza/Artest signings of a few years back. At that price, I'm leery of signing Lee. He's good, but with good scouting I think a 1st round pick can match that production for 1/4 the salary.

But if teams are leery of big contracts with the new strict rules, Lee's price tag may go down to the $3-4mil range, or the lesser MLE.

And you know this "fact" because......?

Fans of players always have a different view. People here raved about Battier's defense...the "No Stats All Star".

But Battier never made First Team All Defensive. In fact, he only made the 2nd Team once. That's a poll conducted by NBA coaches.

I would think it would depend entirely on a particular teams need, for instance Dragic might be number 1 on Portland's list.

Here is another ranking from Sheridanhoops. Not sure I agree with all of this, but just another take.

I dont agree with all of this, especially where Hibbert ranks among the restricted Free agents. I think he's an easy #2 in that mix. Also your boy Asik will be much more sought after than the likes of Beasley, or OJ Mayo.

I'm glad they are ranking Lee low, it gives us a better shot at getting him back.

Is Lee an All Star? No, but he plays his position well enough and honestly, I think there is premium on having two way players of which I count Lee as one.
