[WEEI] Report: Lakers are committed to trading Pau Gasol

they wanted lowry last year. it will not take lowry to get him. i would only be happy if it was for scola or 16 or less.

 

He was on a team by himself with garbage players.

He shared shots with Kobe and Bynum, and shared the paint (rebounds, lack of spacing) with an emerging Bynum all season.

16 and 10.5 for the next 3 or 4 years is all you need out of him, and he is perfectly capable of getting that on this team.

and if he does that on our team it will slow us down even further to rebuild. no thanks i'll pass.

it's obvious he is on the decline and some of you guys need to open your eyes and see that.

 

I didn't realize basketball was a solo sport. Take a look at that roster.

Trade them Scola, and save Lowry for a seperate trade all together

 

Scola, the 16th pick and Budinger at the most I still feel that Gasol is an effective player and that he may have seemed less effective, but that was due to other factors ( less touches, more outside shots, having constant thoughts of getting traded in your head all day, etc) he's still good I know soft and finesse are the same thing these days but I still think gasol is good

And he would be a unique asset

 

It is just doing business. Adds a small kicker to the trade that really costs us nothing. Or just throw in Dally's contract. He is getting bought out unless Morey can figure out where else to dump him.

 

Before calling Gasol soft please review tape of him playing in the low post. He takes and gives beatings every game.

20.51 PER last year - way better than anyone on the roster.

 

Gasol will cost substantial assets. It is not like other teams won't be interested in him. The "Scola + 16th" type things are fantasies.

 

and in case you are clueless, you need more than 1 good scorer to be very good in the NBA especially come postseason time. we we trade for gasol, at best we would be a 6-8th seed, and we would be a 1st round exit. would you want that the next 2 years he has left on his contract?

 

And you should not be calling people delusional. It is insulting.

We came within 4 or 5 games of the sixth seed last season, missing both our starting guards.

and even if we would have made the playoffs we would have gotten eliminated in round 1.
