Rockets Get: Pau Gasol, Lakers 2nd Round Pick Lakers Get: Kyle Lowry, Luis Scola A Rockets Pau Gasol trade nearly happened last season, and nearly happened again midseason but the Rockets were unwilling to part with Lowry. Now Lowry wants out and the Lakers are unhappy with Gasol.
This actually make sense on both sides. Noah is better than Gasol at this point and more realistic than Howard. You may have to take Hamilton's contract and give up a pick, but sign&trade Dragic would give us one more trade asset we don't actually have. I think Dragic maybe interested in playing in the big city and on a winning team like Chicago. Hamilton's contract will be expiring next year. Bulls can get rid of a bad contract in Hamilton, a pick for good bigman prospect, the ability to resign Asik along with ample playing time for him, coveted Courtney Lee in long term reasonable contract, Dragic to man the point, veteran big like Marcus Camby or Sam Dalembert for a year...plenty of good stuff to compensate for the loss of Noah. Overall this will cost a lot less than acquiring Howard, and should be a good plan.
wow first time that man has ever mentioned anything that I like....this needs its own thread. I would love noah as our center. Him and Dmo could "theoretically" be perfect together.
I like the lineup of Dragic\signing or pick Lee\Hamilton Parsons\Bud\Morris D-Mo\Scola\P-Pat Noah\Camby\signing or pick but I am afraid we would be picking at #14 again. That line up could play with anyone based on pure heart and hustle but would be round one exit.
That doesnt make us a contender, not now, not in the near future, unless you consider the Rox picking 10-14 again next year. I dont think with this deep draft it would be wise to give up #14 and #16, especially with us giving up Lowry, especially with him dishing out 7 assists per game. We can get more for him then giving up a lottery pick and only getting Noah in return. Hes only 26, and has 4 more years of his prime left. No, not a good idea.
it is...but would the bulls do it for a back up center (dalembert) Lowry (but only need him part of 1 year) and do mid round picks. I think they would...seeing as this is the same basic offer we were saying would get howard.... but this move definitely doesn't net you D will. Itd be great if we could then move martin and scola for a legit PF.
Maybe. But no giving up picks. This draft is too deep due to the lack of prospects in last years draft, and the chance of missing out on a potential 2nd or 3rd teamer at 14 or 16 is too great.
The Hawks need depth. Lowry + Patterson + Dalembert + Budinger + 14th pick for Horford Lowry, Teague JJ, Budinger Williams Smith, Patterson Dalembert, Zaza Dragic ? Parsons, Morris Scola, Donuts Horford
Hawks: Lowry + Patterson + Dalembert + Budinger + 14th pick for Horford Bucks: Morris for Dunleavy + Leuer + 2012 2nd round pick (Plumlee) Celtics: Martin + 16th pick for Avery Bradley + 20th pick (Fournier) Sign some overseas drafted players for the heck of it. The 13th to 15th guys don't/shouldn't matter. Lowry, Teague JJ, Budinger Williams Smith, Patterson Dalembert, Zaza Dragic, Bradley Lee, Dunleavy, Newley Parsons, Fournier, Leunen Scola, Donuts, Smith Horford, Leuer, Plumlee
