"Alex Kennedy: The Oklahoma City Thunder will likely move the 28th pick. They're satisfied with their core and don't want to pay a rookie guaranteed money. Twitter"

    http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

I wouldnt be opposed to the Rox trading to pick up the #28th pick and Cole Aldrich (2 year pro, 11th pick, 2.2pts, 1.8rebs, 7.2MPG, 52% FG, 93% FT) in an attempt to package all three picks to move up in the draft in the 5-8 range.

Possible? The Kings, Warriors, and Raptors could sure use 3 picks on younger players.

Or am I just hoping for a long shot?

Pay 3 million for the pick. Why not?

If this were a Heat forum this would be interesting...but even then I doubt the Thunder want to deal with Miami.

What team wants three 1st round draft picks (which also means three more guaranteed contracts)? None of those you name do. The Kings and Warriors have enough youth as it is. The Raptors want to improve next year, not rebuild, and seek an impact player.

IMO, it would be crazy for almost any team to trade a top 6-8 pick for three later picks like 14,16,28. The only exception might be an expansion team.

Marquis Teague is not worth it. I don't know how many more times I can say it.

I doubt teams in the top 5 really gets swayed with the inclusion of the 28th pick in a trade package. It is an asset, nevertheless, and perhaps one worth acquiring if the price is right.

Also, I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Aldrich. If OKC doesn't want to pay guys outside of their rotation (and Aldrich looks like he will be, at best, the 4th pick on the team next season, and only because Nazr Mohammed is a FA), perhaps the $2.4 and $3 million guaranteed to him the next 2 seasons are the one thing they'd look to cut.

Interestingly enough, if we could acquire this pick, it frees us up to trade both the #14 and #16 picks in a package. Otherwise we are not allowed to trade both of our picks, since our pick next year is already promised to Brooklyn.

    Who are YOU!

Marquis Teague seems like a good prospect as a backup to Gogi. If you watched his draftexpress interview, he reminds me a LOT of Lowry with how he talks and is unrudedly humble. He is a hard worker. And was the starting PG on a national team as a FROSH. Those are leadership qualities that i like to see. He can learn from Mchale and Gogi while he is here in Houston. Worse case he is a BUST, and we drafted him with the 28th pick... big WHOOP

How many teams thought Chandler Parsons or Isiah Thomas werent worth it. Sometimes you have to go with what you see in that prospect. If Morey thinks highly of Marquis Teague then you have to respect that

Is that what Bud is worth? 28th pick and Cole Aldrich? Dang. I thought he was worth more than that.

Actually, OKC wouldn't take Bud for Cole Aldrich straight up. They don't need Bud at all and they do need a backup C.
