Drummond certainly has the most potential at the 5 of anyone since Cousins. Maybe even Howard. He is going to need a lot of work in different areas though.

Drummond looked great in that workout. Very fluid movement and good form on the jumper. Good touch around the rim as well. I know he's a very long-term project, but at least his practices look great.

So what is it with Lilliard bringing the ball down well below his waist before shooting? NBA players are going to zone in on that weakness in a heartbeat.

Some tweets from the Blazers announcer…Not saying he’s a draft expert or anything, but he’s coached on the college level and has watched all the Blazers workouts so far. He seems to hate Drummond, and not just because he’s a project that doesn’t fit well with a team that wants to compete now -- Meyers Leonard is a project too, but Drummond seems to have left a much worse impression…

    Mike Rice ‏@mikerice6 :
…or maybe it’s all just a smoke screen HA!

    ^^
Wants to make sure he's available at 6 so that they can snatch him away from the top5 teams?

Yes, I'm sure teams read his tweets and care what he has to say.

I'm no fan of overhyped centers, but I don't trust anyone close to the Blazers' brain trust. They act like Dragic already signed with them; and this guy flushes Drummond out of the top 10?

Not a big deal. Just don't buy into the b.s. I guess.

That's not a smoke screen. That's the truth. He knows what he's talking about. I would not be surprised if Drummond fell into the late teens or twenties.
