Sullinger I agree with your assessment. When he reaches his peak he may be as good as West, but I doubt his ceiling is quite that high.

    I could see him anywhere from 10 - 16.

Teague was one of the best athletes at the combine, and in college he could get to the rim with ease. Given his quickness and vertical that will probably quickly be the case in the pro's. He has all the tools to be a defensive main stay at the PG. Has shown he can run an offense, but tended to be sloppy with his passing.

I could see him going anywhere from 16 - 23.

My opinion of Jones in detail is above.

It's a mistake drafting Sullinger. He was second to last in drills that gauge athleticism. Rumors are he was that out of shape. A slower and less athletic ppat? Noooooo. Same goes for Arnett Moultrie. I'd avoid these guys at all cost. I'd rather jump down and get Royce White. Or jump up and get PJ3?

Sullinger was a top-5 pick if he declared last year.. he's a 17-10 player and is the model of consistency. He's a banger. He led a top-5 team in the nation by himself. I don't understand the hate. The lack of athleticism is what the NBA facilities and training are supposed to fix.

He's a great pick with huge production. You either can play the game or you can't. Look at Randolph and Love. Both not outstanding athletically with below-the-rim games but they both have a dominant presence on the floor. Same thing with this guy.

You want an unmotivated Power Foward that sees himself as a three and a player that was much less than aggresive as well as underwhelming and an under achiever on a much smaller stage than the NBA? You expect this guy to flourish in the NBA? I don't understand your thought process.

Perry Jones is only twenty. He has plenty of time to man up, and you can't teach height, athleticism, or length. The kid has an unlimited ceiling. Plus, if he didn't have questions about being soft, he would be completely out of our reach. When you are drafting in the middle of the first round, you have to choose between low risk low reward and high risk high reward. I prefer high risk high reward. We have enough "NBA ready assets" on our roster.

You cannot teach size, but you teach hard?

    1. The power forwards at some spots might be the best available players.

    2. It gives the Rockets a little more depth, if both Scola and Patterson are dealt.

    3. Where has Motiejunas earned his right to be anointed to a NBA starter? It has proven anything, yet and must compete against whoever else we have in camp playing power forward. These Rocket players are getting annoying with their whining about playing time (Lowry, Motiejunas, and Morris) . . . if they aren't future Hall of fame players, perennial all-stars, or have a stranglehold over their position. These players have no reason to demand any kind of starting role. It's funnier how none of these players have carried this team to playoffs or done anything significance.

Raven, he is trying to sell himself as a 3 because he doesn't want to mix it up inside. You know what that means? That means he's not going to mix it up at the 3 either. I'm sorry, although he is one of the top 2 or 3 most physically gifted players in this draft he's gonna bust bigger than humpty dumpty. The NBA is a man's league. You have to mix it up whether you play the 4, 5, 1, 2, or 3. You gotta grind and you gotta be physical. Everything about his comments and his actions is reaking of wanting to float around the court somehow like a little bird avoiding contact and having his way. It simply won't work that way for him when he's playing with the big boys.

He's a bust and I'm not changing on that until he demonstrates he's willing to bang and grind. And he is not showing any of that but is showing more and more each day how mentally weak he is.

So what's the alternative, another NBA ready player? Another asset? Is there another high ceiling player that you think we have a realistic chance of getting?

At 14 Sully would be a pretty sick value. Trading up for Sully? Not so much.

Trade up, for Barnes, Beal, Drummond... If we stay, I'd rather have Zeller, Leonard, Rivers than PJ3. I just see him pretty much doing nothing in the NBA. He absolutley crapped in the NCAA. I mean, most good NBA players played good in the NCAA or dominated at least sometimes, this guy got dominated regularly by other players.

I would love to have Drummond or Meyers, but I don't see Morey trading up high enough to get either one.

Especially Meyers, who looks to be exactly what the Rockets need.

PJIII is great value in the middle of the round if we stay put.

Picture getting PJIII and Rivers with #14 and #16.

I really don't think we will look back in 5 years and have nothing. The potential is massive.

Wouldn't mind this, MAYBE. Apparently, Patterson is improving, don't know if we will need another young power forward.
