I moved to Baltimore last month and am planning to be here for at least the next three years. I'm still exploring the city and was wondering if there are any fellow Clutchfans in the area (I don't count DC/VA as "in the area"). Maybe we can start a crew to watch the Rockets next season!

You can contact me at naresh dot vissa at gmail dot com

    Thanks.

P.S. I also moved here on a whim, so I barely know anybody. If anyone's down to meet up and watch the Finals or anything else, hit me up!!!

Avoid the block, or always go to the block, depends on what you like.
I think the architecture is beautiful downtown. Try not to get mugged. Enjoy the "best oysters around" (they're from Louisiana lol) but definitely great crab cakes at fadley's market I believe. I used to work there...do miss it and hope that you meet some good folk and make some good friends.

    in before the wire references.

got married in Ellicott City/Catonsville area and had a reception at the Harbor Court Intercontinental in the Inner Harbor right before OBrycki's closed down.

try Regis or Ryleighs in Federal Hill for great crabs or oysters.

    not when they're in season...

I lived in B-more for some time on Fell Street across the street from the swimmer Michael Phelps. Other than the great music scene, it is a pretty crappy place to live. Literally two blocks away from the greatest hospital in the world (Johns Hopkins) is straight abandoned projects. The only upside to living in B-more is that it's pretty close to D.C.

There were some decent food places though. I enjoyed Blue Moon Cafe in Fell's Point. Get the famous Captain Crunch French Toast.

Why did you choose this place? Are you in the arts?

I was living in corporate housing in Harbor East (about three blocks from Fells Point). I just moved to the Belvedere in Mount Vernon, which is where I also work. The place kind of reminds me of the Museum District in Houston.

I came here for a new job. I'll start another thread about it so I can build up some support when the time comes (probably October).

I drove by it several times whenever I got lost. Not my scene, but it had an interesting layout of trash/class.
