I agree. The Kings just suck ass, and everyone is blaming Tyreke for it.

It is much more complex than that. The Kings did not do a bad job with Cousins, who certainly was a hard headed youngster out of college. There may be some issues that the Rockets much more mature and knowledgeable coaching staff could help Evans with. My personal worry is that he is irrevocably damaged goods. But perhaps not. It is up to Morey to decide. As usual he will put a trade and all of the pertinent information on a set of scales in his office. I have to assume that he is much better than I am and will make a much more informed decision. Hope he makes the right one.

I would take Tyreke Evans if it came with the #5 pick. I would give up Marcus Morris and Lowry for him

Haven't watched much Sac, but attributes like "uncoachable, shoot 1st, selfish, gunner, volume scorer" usually equal poor defense. Guess his over/under in Vegas for all-defensive teams is 0.

What's ur point? See, this is my thing with this kind of post. Byron scott is a better coach than anything evans has ever had in 3 yrs. When u post the +/-, I don't even see that because we know how those numbers are flipped.

I watch a lot of west coast games because I'm a night owl and what I see in tyreke is a guy who was suppose to be the savior. He's not that and its nothing wrong with that. Take james harden and put him in sacramento and I bet the team wouldn't be any better wins wise. John wall is a hell of a talent, but the wizards have been terrible. Even as great as the thunder have been the last couple of yrs, they had 2 top 5 picks after durant before they made the playoffs.

My point is this,he's 22 and have been productive early in his career. He's better than anyoneon the rockets roster right now, younger than anyone on their roster and is better than anyone they can draft at 14. He can get his own shot, get into the paint, and proved late in games he can make plays. There isn't a player on this roster I wouldn't give up for him besides d-nuts. They could have lowry, martin, lee, parsons, scola, and anyone else for evans if that came down to it. Jmo

3pt % doesn't indicate whether you can shoot or not, that's about range. If you anything about basketball, you would know that.

Pick Tony Wroten at #30 and he has the same talent as Tyreke at this point. He just turns 19 years old , and will be on cheap rookie contract with more upside than Tyreke.

If he has the same talent as Tyreke..why would I want to pick him at all?

I think a lot of people on here are going to be biting their lips when Evans turns out to be a legitimate player.

Maybe I simplified things here, but he has pretty much the same size, phisical attributes, style, stats in college... He's like a clone of Tyreke. If a lot of people love the rookie Tyreke instead of the Tyreke today, why not just pick Tony Wroten with upside on cheap?

That being said, I don't want Tyreke and I'd rather take Wroten if I have to choose bewteen them.

Valid points, If I could rep I would. I also believe better surrounds and competent coaching will work wonders, maybe even all-star selection

Apparently Kings want a hefty load for both Evans and 5th pick.

"A deal for Evans has been much speculated upon everywhere. But the Kings are said to want a lot and would hardly add the No. 5 pick with him. Maybe you get the pick for Noah. Hardly Evans and the pick. Maybe you get Evans and the pick for Noah and Deng, which would be ridiculous for the Bulls to do. It makes little sense for either side." -NBA.com

I actually think that kinda makes a lot of since. Deng is on the decline and Noah's not getting any better. derrick rose is gonna be out for the year anyway, this could be a good chance to tank and develop evans and that potential pick(drummond?) Evans replaces deng at sf and has the potential to be way more than him. He will do way better under a real coach. they can draft Noah or Boozer's replacement with andre drummond or thomas robinson if he drops that far. develop your new young center and sf for a year and let them learn the system and I'm sure they can be just as good as noah and deng by the year after when derrick rose gets back. If the bulls could do this, I think they have to roll the dice with that potential, because if Rose is out for the year, Deng will continue to decline.

deng and Noah for tyreke evans, chuck hayes, and john salmons

    2013-2014 potential lineup

    Rose/Watson
    Hamilton/Salmons/Brewer
    Evans/Korver
    Robinson/Gibson/hayes (amnesity Boozer?)
    Asik/fab melo(draft pick)

    or

    Rose Watson
    Hamillton/Salmons/Brewer
    Evans/Korver
    Gibson/Hayes (amnesity boozer?)
    Drummond/Fab Mello(draft pick)

with a healthy rose, an inspired tyreke evans under new management with a year under his belt, and an improved drummond under great management with a year under his belt, they get younger, healther, and more years to contend. if the kings are really willing to do that, you gotta get it done. Just too much potential right there IMHO.

    kings potential lineup

    thomas/tony wroten(exchange pick with bulls)
    thornton/fredette
    Deng/twill
    Noah/Thompson
    Cousins/whiteside

They get experienced vets to play alongside their franchise center and are now ready to make a serious playoff push.
