westbrook tried to commit his third foul right before the half but the refs were having none of it. geez.
Game seems pretty evenly reffed.. a few bad calls but there's been bad calls on both sides. If Durant averaged what he usually averages, we would have close to a tie game right now. It's on him to bring the Thunder back. Still pulling for the Heat though.. Wade has been more aggressive this game.
Guys, you need to quit yapping about every call by the officials. They aren't the story of the 1st half. Miami is in great position to win. They came out with intensity and seized on OKC's lack of urgency. Pin the tail on Scott Brooks for not having his team ready to start the game and stubbornly keeping Perkins in until it was 16-2. Very typical of him. The blowout start is the difference in the game. OKC deserves to be where they are. They had "happy feet", including the complacent coach who was far too slow to adjust his lineup. Didn't seem like Miami wore itself out much and they should be primed to finish strong and even the series. Even though he's pathetic, putting Norris Cole out there to soak up a few minutes and rest Wade was a smart move. Major props to the Heat and Spoelstra.
Really, it's insufferable. Here we go again with the "everything the team I'm rooting for is jinxed against them, and everything the other team does is a series of lucky bounces, missed calls against them, shots they wouldn't normally make...." It's like the f***in Johnny Cochran of basketball- don't pay attention to anything lucky that goes Miami's way, not one single thing... but let's make it seem like Miami is absolutely cursed and that OKC is ordained by God to be the Champions.... ignoring the fact, of course, that many of the teams I've rooted for have had many lucky breaks.... geez, it's been going on for several years, doesn't it absolutely exhaust your brain to maintain this monomaniacal paranoia martyrdom fixation. Please, try watching basketball with an objective eye, you'd be amazed how silly the sum total of your comments are. THE HEAT ARE NOT CURSED!! (end rant)
wilbon really thinks the thunder aren't going to come back? how is this any different than any other large deficit they've carved out for themselves? they'll eventually get a 3, steal, 3 sequence or something like that, the crowd will be going crazy, the opponent will go a little cold like they usually do and the thunder will momentum their way to another home come-from-behind win. that's their MO. the over/under is the end of the 3rd for when the thunder take the lead.
Sure, blame the coach because KD and RW can't hit the side of a f***in barn. What happens when OKC makes their run? It's all because of them and not the coach, right??? SMFH
Yes, the Heat has outplayed them SO FAR. But here is the deal, if the Heat get flattened and lose in the second half then, in my mind, they are broken, demoralized, whipped. Why, because they have NEVER played better and lost. We shall see. And my word, Westbrook looks like he is a church leaguer. He really hasn't played well for a while, got to get it together. Thanks to Harden (on fire) they are still in it. Durant will roll in the second, just watch.
Battier 3's again. Thunder have played horrible, Heat amazing, Thunder still alive. Need a 6-0 run to start this half If the Thunder come back and win this, the series is done.
ahh, the now annual dandorotik rant about my posts in the finals. hopefully we will have more in the years to come. i largely post (in games) for the catharsis of it. i suspect you got largely the same out of your rant. life will go on.
That script will fail them eventually. Anything is possible but Miami is in it for 48 tonight. KD better get some pep in his step pronto
i don't know why people think the heat played so well. they didn't shoot 50%, lebron didn't shoot 50%, they shot 3's well but they only took 6 so it wasn't like an avalanche of 3's. the reason a loss would be demoralizing will be because they will realize okc is like dallas last year in that it seems like they can name the score in the 2nd half and it doesn't even matter what lead miami gets. not because they are playing well and not winning.
