When we played at Hard Rock, we played low stakes poker and low stakes tournaments with a couple of celebrities. Sometimes they just like to hang out.

My tip... Just because a hot girl way out of your league gives you her number doesn't mean she's a hooker. My buddy learned that the hard way. She modeled for playboy and was so offended when he asked her how much she costs, she ignored the rest of his calls.

I know, it's just fun; and RIP Hard Rock poker room.
Other NBA players I've seen or met at Bellagio poker: Otis Thorpe, Tyrone Hill, Paul Pierce...

Oh man, at EDC last weekend, you couldn't escape the smell of weed. So like, I had a minivan that could seat 7 or 8 comfortably and there were 5 guys. A few went to Rehab at Hard Rock and picked up a silly group of 6 vancouver hotties. We pulled the seats down and everyone just piled in like sardines. I need to get the pic...someone has it. My closest buddy wasn't even a progressive fan and I had to practically beg him to come just so he could experience the spectacle. Of course, when we picked up the girls, his entire demeanor changed.

Anyhow, as we approached the speedway, some chick says to me to pull the windows up so they can sniff mollies. WTF? These girls looked like innocent 21 year olds...roll balls..sure, like half of the people out there are and the other half is drunk. But sniffing mollies? That's hardcore that even the dudes I was with who are much bigger party goers than me were very surprised. Those shorties were hottt though. I can't believe I was so caught up in trying to meet up with this gorgeous hawaiian babe I met the night before that I didn't pick up on one of the vancouverites taking an interest in me. Of course, most of them were high out of their minds, but still...f'n I'm always thinking about the last battle and not recognizing the next. And we all got separated out there because it's like 100K people on a race track with no cell phone nor text reception and no set plan of meeting to leave. Drugged out group orgy plans postponed to next year...oh well.

Anyhow, weed shouldn't be too hard to find, lol. With the abundance of poker players in town for the WSOP and the general night club scene, you can find what you're looking for.

You need to be much more specific with what you're looking for, group size, budget. Do that, then yes, I can recommend a bunch of things.

Rocketman95, regarding the Trop, there's an overwhelming coconut perfume scent in the lobby...hopefully you and you're wife are agreeable to that. Also, lines on Texans wins totals over are moving like crazy. Cantor gaming has it at 10 with over opening at -140 and it's now -150. MGM has it at 10.5 and Caesar's hasn't come out yet. I went to LVH (formerly Hilton) super book and found it open at 9.5 -145 but it's now -165. I still had to take it because it's freakin 9.5! Texans cannot go under 9.5 this year.

Dude. I sooo wish I lived out there in Vegas. I hear the economy out there isn’t doing so hot so not likely I could find a cushy corporate job like I got here in Houston.

    Live it up

The first two nights out at The Westin Lake Las Vegas where we were married, then we're staying at the Tropicana on the strip. Would not have been my first choice, but decided to give Hotwire a shot. Got a good deal at least.

Yeah...particularly for a weekend trip, I'm good with just finding a good deal. The wife's idea is finding a hotel with a pool she loves...so that's my primary concern when booking a hotel there. Was looking at deals on Expedia yesterday, actually.

I suppose I could save everyone else this whole discussion and just email you :)

As a matter of convenience, your best sportsbook to watch the game on Sunday is right across the bridge to MGM Grand, where the sportsbook is actually close to that entrance coming from Trop. It's big, has nice screens, and a decent amount of seating. The only problem is that you're not guaranteed sound if it's not the biggest game (this is a problem everywhere...you can always ask). If you're willing to taxi/drive/walk, you can go to the following nice books:

Venetian - newly renovated and next to a decent Asian cafe
Aria - small and stylish, but beautiful huge projection or high tech hd something...just stunningly beautiful screens
Planet Hollywood - nice seating setup and good sized screens

Remember to wake up early and get your seats. The games start at 10am over there.

I don't necessarily care about watching it a sportsbook. Is that sports bar in NY NY any good?

    MadMax,
That is a requirement of K as well and the Trop's pool looks awesome. I'll let you know.

Any sports bar will do. But the sportsbook atomsphere is where its at. Gotta get there early though.. they usually fill up pretty early and stay full throughout the whole day.
