It wasn't looking good when Ireland saw the group draw.

Edit: LOL sorry for responding to your misplaced post.

    That wasn't fair.

Ireland did it wrong. You can't chase Spain. If you do, you lose 4-0. Besides, if you're going to play for the counter, wouldn't it be wise to play a forward who's under 60 years old?

What do our fellow Irish lads sing, MadMax?

    Sounds like a sad song.

Irish fans are something. Their team is losing by 4 goals, it is definetely out of the playoffs race, but they were singing like they have won a Title!

no offense but I don't think Ireland would've been competitive in any group besides possibly A.

Why is it even important in what group you belong? If you can beat everyone to win a cup or championship, it shouldn't matter.

Had no idea people actually thought Ireland had a shot in this tournament. They knew it too, there only goal is to beat Italy, thats all they want.

So happy Spain won 4:0 against them as it is the exact score I bet!!

Couldn't catch the game but just saw the highlights... lol that Silva goal. Haven't seen someone's ankle broken so badly like that. That was a streetball ankle break. To make it worse, he didn't even smash it in or anything, just sort of tapped it in past 3 defenders and the keeper.

I couldn't even tell what was happening with the Fab goal. It was like all 20 other players didn't know the ball was in play, it was just Fab and Silva that were playing.

That is true for title favorites. For a team like Ireland who's goal probably is advancing past the group stage it does matter. Group A is patheticly weak (altough Ireland would probably also not advance from that group).

It doesn't matter if you're talking about winning the whole thing - something Ireland wasn't a threat to do to begin with.

It absolutely matters if you're talking about hoping to see your team win and advance a bit.

You've watched sports long enough to know it matters what division/group/conference/etc. you play in.
