Haha got me there I was partially sarcastic, but I hear that this draft is deep and all....but I'm afraid that I don't see that "durant" type of player that just mesmorized me like a durant did, or even a Rose-I hope there ends up panning out to be superstars though to come out in bunches...I'm just a pessimist draft wise as Rockets have put me there...let's hope we can get a top tier pick for these 2 we have bc we aren't paying two first rounders this year I'm positive.

If Morey has to be convinced to want a top 10 pick on a rebuilding team because he doesnt want to trade marginal veterans? Then he needs to be fired. Its really simple. We are not a contender and if there is one he cant get and wont trade for because of his hestitancy to deal our players while we are stuck every year out of the playoffs? He needs to be fired. Simple as that. Thats how you build to be a playoff team is get one of these top 10 picks.

I watch all the UT games and frankly I am not sure why everyone thinks Robinson is more than just a decent NBA starter, not an All Star. He never overpowered for instance Tristan Thompson, even though Thompson was two years younger, or even last year's short front line fro UT.

Go for the gold, Andre Drummond. He at least has a chance of being a superstar or an All Star.

We need either a sure fire star at another position or at least a good NBA role playing center, not just a slightly better Scola or Patterson.

    Umm... what?

He completely destroyed UT this year. Dude had some of the best post moves I've seen out of a college player in a while.

If you can get the number 2 pick in the draft you do it unless they are asking for Parsons, DMo, 14th and 16th. There is no guarantee that Drummond or someone else we like is there at 5 so you get the number 2 pick and ensure that you can have anyone not named Davis.

And Robinson hardly played against UT two years ago.

From what we know about Morey we could have done great if we had the number 2 pick in most of the drafts over the past 5 years. In 07 Durant was the consensus number 2 pick. In 2008 I'm really not sure who Morey's guy was but Love and Westbrook were still on the board and pg and pf were probably our most needed positions but we probably would have taken Beasley since he was the consensus number 2. We all know how high Morey was and is on Rubio so I feel pretty confident saying we would have taken him with number 2 in 09. Not sure how he felt about Turner but there is a very good chance we would have taken Cousins with 2 in 10 based on the rumors that Morey really wanted to trade up for him. Last year was either Williams/Jonas from what we know and those two guys still have a lot of upside. Pretty much minus the 2009 I feel like the Rockets would have ended up with a very good young player with the number 2 pick in the last 5 years.

I somehow doubt they'll be able to nab Harden, but something centered around Lowry, Dalembert and one or two picks for #2 and Maggette might work, although you'll probably have a hard time convincing the Bobcats to build around a 26 year old PG with as weak a supporting cast as the Bobcats currently have.
A third team might be needed for the Rockets to get involved.

One is a RFA and the other one struggled mightily last year.

You're probably right though that the Bobcats would most likely prefer to trade for a SF or PF/C. Walker (PG), Augustin (PG), Henderson (SG) and Biyombo (PF/C) are their only half decent players.

That said, if you're as bad if the Bobcats you simply cannot trade for fit. Everything must be centered around getting the best players available.

Like I in my previous post though, I do agree that it most likely would take a third team for the Rockets to get involved.

Rockets have nothing to offer for 2.

Other than the obvious downsides of being mediocre and picking 14 year after year, at least from a different team's fan's perspective is, why do we want anything on Houston? Where have those players gotten Houston? Why do we want to become Houston [North, East, West]? Why do we want to become the [insert NBA city here--ie Orlando] Rockets and be perennial 8th, 9th seed in the East & going 'nowhere'? Rockets have some assets to work with but...

Edit: Funny enough, if the report is true, Jordan supposedly broke the Bobcats up because he didn't want to be 'just' the 8th seed, so he tore it down. Now he wants vets again? Or JVG can put it in more clearer words for me: Jordan and this is what a lot of people believe, you don't hang around those 7th or 8th spots. You get really bad, you strip it down and do it for business and basketball reasons.

So hestripped it down, didn't get the #1 pick, and now want vets again? Interesting...

The only way I see us nabbing the two is if we trade Lowry for a middle lottery pick (7-10) and package that with the 16 and 14 pick in exchange for taking on a bad contract like Magette or Tyrus Thomas.

If this does happen, expect us to take Drummond. He reminds me of Demarcus Cousins, where his red flags were mainly attitude and work ethic problems. Morey was high on Demarcus, I wouldn't be surprised if Drummond is in the top 3 of his draft list.

You're insane. Robinson has all the tools and something Drummond doesn't have -- the mental aspect. You can just tell that the dude wants it. He won't be satisfied with being a decent NBA starter.

    More lol here

The Bobcats are not trying to be one of the worst teams in the NBA again, while also not being stuck in mediocrity for the 5 seasons.

Are you agreeing or disagreeing? I can't tell.

Those proposals sound mediocre to me :p

OK players, maybe gets Charlotte the 8th seed out East.

You pour your heart and & soul into tanking and now want to let another team take advantage of your tanking?! Doesn't make much sense to me. At the same time, hard for me to blame them, if that's what they want to do. I'm not real enamored with the draft class outside of Davis, and maybe Beal.
