Yeah, I'm totally ambivalent about this list. I mean, we're talking about 1 year. A list of the top 100 players of the 2000's and we'd have something fun to debate. A list of the top 100 players from last year? Eh... Most of us are too busy thinking about next year to worry about last year.
the voting criteria is not about last year, is actually about next year, the list is who is the best today, not who was the best last season. if the list was only for last year, why peyton manning is on the list?
There are a couple lists out. This one in particular is regarding players performance and importance in 2011. Manning should have been higher...his absence took a team from division champs to worst in the NFL.
Nope. It seems you havent watched the show, or the tv show after the list called "the Reaction Show", when they discuss the last 10 spots. at the beginning of every show, they show the voting criteria, and the say the list is for next year. even in the twitter of the host (Lindsay Rhodes), she said that: "the 2011 season was last year, the 2012 season hasnt happened and the show is called "100 top players of 2012" so is about the players right now/next season. It’s essentially a pre-season ranking going into 2012 voted on by the players. The NFL Network makes it very clear that this is not a Top 100 of 2011 list because they have the stats to rank that.
I still think Andre Johnson will be on the list: they already said, that the list will have 4 more WRs and this is list of WRs already on the list (not in order) Steve Smith (CAR) Victor Cruz (NYG) Hakeem Nicks (NYG) Jordy Nelson (GB) Greg Jennings(GB) Mike Wallace (PIT) Roddy White (ATL) Devin Hester (CHI) Desean Jackson (PHI) so I think that remaining spots will be for (not in order): Wes Welker (NE) Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) Calvin Johnson (DET) Andre Johnson (HOU)
Looks like either Andre made the list or Arian is ranked way too low... I'm gonna say Andre made it. Per Houston Texans facebook page. Slight Edit: This also confirms that Watt is not on the list and I read somewhere (albeit not a credible source) that the Texans have four players on this list. Joseph and Cushing have already been revealed so Arian is definitely one, and the only other player that could be on this list is Andre.
true, but when you look at yards per game, no RB was more productive...If he played all 16 games, Foster could have arguably won a second consecutive rushing title, then in the playoffs he took it to another level compared to the others ... very bad ranking, but I have a feeling we haven't even seen Foster's best production yet, so I'll look forward to that
Foster missed multiple games. Secondly he shares time with Tate. You can't be the best and SHARE duties.
He leads the league with 4,061 yards from scrimage and 30 TDs over the last two years. Splitting time isn't really an issue.
