FFS! WTF is wrong with you? I now choose to hate you forever and will make 100 fake appointments via interns with nothing to do. Get it?!
I am an Android user but I am not a fanboy. I am all for competition between the tech giants, ultimately, we the consumers win. I do, however, understand why people hate on Apple. If you keep with the tech news, especially within the last year, Apple has repeatedly sued for some of the most outrageous things. Square phone, swiping to lock, etc are things Apple has tried to sue within the last year.....
Actually my 'anger' (I thought explicitly pointing out it was a complaint showed it was tongue in cheek but it doesn't matter) to get you to comprehend my post worked. Although some of the capitalization was just to highlight words that were clearly not read the first time. Then you switched the issue and avoided any real responses thereafter. This has been a meaningless waste but I couldn't help trying to call someone out and pursuing it at least once as this happens all the time on message boards. Others can obviously see what you're doing so there's no need to keep up the charade. Sure this experiment worked but meh...not worth it.
No one outside of Major knows what you are talking about. My 486DX2 won't run Windows 7. For real! I hate that rezdawg guy. How can he "so what" ?
My hate of Apple stems from the fact that they are not really an innovator, yet they seem to be the ones that want to ruin the consumer's ability to enjoy the benefits of great competition by suing about the dumbest things. Like someone said earlier, even Jobs was out to get Android, when in fact, both companies had copied from the other. My phone was delayed for two weeks over the fact that I shouldn't be able to click a link from a text and have it done a predetermined action, for God's sake. Really a knock on the patent system, but don't pretend you're a perfect, innovative company, when you're not. The manufacturer of my phone (HTC) fixed this issue after Apple sued them over it in December. Then, two days before the phone was to be shipped, Apple called customs to have them double-check to make sure it had been fixed -even though HTC submitted it to Apple. And I know it goes both ways, but I feel Apple is doing this because they're stuck playing catch-up to a superior product. They have a ton of money from the years when their products were actually somewhat innovative, and now, because they're losing, they're bringing the only thing they have to the table - money for litigation. With all of this, we, the customers are losing out, ultimately. They want us to have one choice of a cell phone. Something that is overpriced and underdeveloped, at that.
Customs doesn't act based on the whims of Apple, or any other company for that matter. Get your facts straight before you get your blood pressure up.
a lot of people think at least some of the products apple have are still superior. laptop, imac, phone, or ipad compared to the competition. they may all be wrong according to you, but it is a fact that people are buying the products.
Honestly, I read the thread title and thought I could get some insights of the new IOS. I want my 5 minutes back. Disclaimer: I am an android phone owner.
The only thing I can speak about are the phones. I'm pretty sure the Ipad is better than the competition. I know a lot of people love Macbooks. They're too expensive for me and not my cup of tea. I refuse to judge those.
People buy it because they let the media and "whats cool" tell them what to do. Some because its so simple that Android might scare them off. I have to use Macs because of the software I need to use works best with it. For the most part I have no hate for the Macbook. But with phones...why limit yourself to one phone choice when there are tons of android phones to choose from? My mom is not tech savy in the least bit. She needed a phone and i told her Iphone would be great for her and it works well. If Apple follows the path that they have been on....a new iOS will be out next week with one additional feature to give people an excuse to buy that as well......how can people be so blind?????......."no I need this one cause it has a camera on the front...." lol
^ I have an iphone because of the simplicity. And I'm pretty sure I'm not your mom's age. I don't care if they were the first or last to provide me with respond to call with text buttons or whatever the new gizmo is. Very few of these things are meaningful enough improvements to matter. What matters to me above all else is ease of use. And Apple is extremely easy to use. It links to all the other Apple products we use wonderfully (Mac, iTunes, AppleTV), my parents and in-laws can use it, it has the best app market. I could care less whether or not I'm using google maps or Apple maps, or Siri or not. I completely understand their business motives for the changes, though, and all parties business motives with regards to patent lawsuits, regardless of how frivolous or unfounded they may seem. iphones5 does not appear it will be a revolutionary improvement. But I will get it because I am due an upgrade. If I wasn't, i wouldn't get it. io6 doesn't appear to be revolutionary. That's ok. It doesn't seem like Android or MSFT have done anything revolutionary in a while. There was one evolutionary moment in the mobile computer movement. And that was the introduction of the iphone. Everything since then, even the ipad, has been baby steps, imo, relative to the unveiling that got the movement started.
