Smart ballclubs do not trade their best young talent. Parsons and D-Mo are not going anywhere.

Boston did and won a championship.

And the Rockets could too. We have many more assets than Boston did. What we don't have are teams that will trade their stars so that they (the stars) can actually compete for a championship.

We don't have an Al Jefferson. 20ppg 10rpg very young players will always attract trade partners

Just a quick update. Now it's official that DMo won't join the NT squad and instead will spend his summer working out with the Rockets.

I hope we do not become like Raptors fans where we are banking on a Euro to become special every year and relentlessly defend that player from people who call him a bust.

We didn't pick him #1 in the draft. If he turns out as good as Barghani, I would be ecstatic.

He was available at a very reasonable price. And he seems to love banging away under the basket. I have high hopes for him.His upside is Barghani with a low post game and a mean streak.

That's very accurate. I mean, it was #20th pick in a poor draft class. He doesn't even need to become Bargnani to be viewed as one of the greatest picks in last 5 years.

He reminds me a lot of bargnani, although he does at least try to be a big man- Bargnani plays like a wingman too often.

I think Bargnani and Motiejuanas both need a real big man to play with. Obviously, putting Bargnani next to Chris Bosh didn't work too well. That's a lesson we should keep in mind. If D-Mo will succeed, he will need to be playing as a 4, not a 3, not a 5. And he will not a competent center out there who can play the dirty and physical roles for him. Someone like Meyers Leonard, whose specialty is defense and rebounding but struggles on the offensive end, would complete him and vice versa.

Assuming we still have Camby next season, Donatas would look good playing next to him, IMO. Hopefully, Camby will be coming off the bench, and we'll have a much younger talent starting for us.

I think most of that is the Euro league. They sit PF's on the 3 point line. In an NBA system if he is on the 3 point line more than momentarily he will screw the wing and guard spacing unless he is playing some version of a point forward. Which is interesting now that I think about it. He certainly passes well enough. If we had a really good low post center using the 4 to make the entry pass and slide around a pick into the box might be a immediate mismatch. We shall see.
