 Well played, Ziggy. But then again, SacTown isn't an indexing robot. :p

I did say the company I'm recommending. Libelty SEO, owned by Tom Libelt. Say the private forums I'm a member of? No, I will not say that out in the open, they are private for a reason.

And facebook ads? They are HUGE for certain industries. They are no different from Google Adwords and are super targeted. Targeting a woman between ages of 30-35, in Texas, who speaks spanish and has children? Facebook ads - It's genius and I've personally had 5k days with facebook ads and dating affiliate sites. Facebook ads are a bit overpriced now, but in the beginning they were a GOLD MINE. And people still do well with them in certain industries, but I have no idea what Ziggy's industry is so I can't say for sure.

You're right about one thing. SEO was easy..... before panda and penguin, which you probably have never even heard of. You're a network administrator who works a 9-5 and plays around with web development, programming and whatever else your boss asks you to do. You're small time Swoly-D and everyone here knows it. If you really knew SEO and internet marketing the way you say you do, you'd be making 20k a per month minimum and out of that cubicle. It's lunch time, you better go clock out. You've got an hour and then back to that cube Swoly.

do you mind explaining more and perhaps how to? a link? I don't use twitter but this feature seems useful. Friend of mine marketing company had a tweet from edelman of patriots about their product unsolicited.. then they tracked him down and got free publicity. Similar thing to what and looks like I need to go ahead and do it.

this is the internet ..easy there.. swoly could be chuck norris although I doubt it. Still I think you are being a little harsh. TBH both of you are coming off as arrogant know it alls.

When can I come work there? grin ..My adwords budget consists of sticks and stones at a few cents a click.

While measuring seo dicks in this thread I note that I have made it to #1 organic for a few key words.. made it past the pandas and penguins you guys talk about. yawn I am not hustler or a rookie. Will check that forum though thanks.

Hardest thing to me is separating fact from fiction. You got tons of things that can be done but you could get lost on tangents too. best practice I suppose. I have seo guys calling me all day. When you get to the pricing part these seo guys want big bucks. I had a friend that was linkfarming and got his site black balled. He had another site that made it to #3 on a popular word. It's all very convoluted still to me. Then again I am no swoly or sactown

You want the basics? You want to separate fact from fiction? This is how I explain it...

Google is the #1 search engine for a reason. It offered a better service than Yahoo, Excite, Lycos, etc...

It's job is to deliver the best, most relevant content possible. Simple as that. Don't focus on the algorithm, focus on what their objective is -- offering the best possible search product (so they can run AdWords on it).

Simply put, your website has to offer content people want. Whether its knowledge, resources, an offer. Don't get caught up in pee-pee games at first, focus on offering things people want to read or participate in. Shareable stuff. Useful stuff.

Can you think of a nifty tool a ton of people might use? I've had competitors in two distinctly different industries win the majority of their traffic from calculator tools. Teksytems gets more traffic from "salary calculator" than it does "IT staffing" -- both of which they own. Now conversion... that's another chapter.

Also if your PPC campaign works you might want to go ahead and throw more money at it. Its all about returns on whatever deal it is you're closing.

This will explain it bro: http://socialsnipe.com/

Ah, it's swoly. He does this in every thread. I made 20k in 1 month using facbook ads last year and swoly attacked me for recommending facebook ads so I figured a smackdown was in order.

Congrats. There is no perfect system, but you may be targeting very non-competitive keywords or maybe you didn't do any blackhat type link building which is what penguin punished. Penguin actually rewards guys like you and punishes the true SEO guys who over optimized.

Yeah, Google is a strange bird. You just never can be 100% and it changes almost daily... that's why you need an SEO guy who stays on top of it. Also, some say SEO is dead. Google doesn't want people optimizing sites for rankings. Google wants to rank sites based on quality. SEO could die one day for sure.

But about swoly vs. sactown - don't humiliate me, he's just a network administrator :p

Yes, I did make 20k last May doing facebook ads and dating affiliates and I was looking to purchase rockets/mavs tickets, which I did end up getting. I got floor seats and sat just 1 row behind mark cuban. Not that that's important but since you're calling me out about it... Do you want me to post pics? Are people who make decent money just supposed to get free tickets or something?

A quick query from my paypal account when I was running the successfulmatch.com affiliate program shows $22,560 in revenue for the month of may. Who's frontin' bro? Looks like you are.

Huh? Most all internet marketing affiliate programs use paypal. That's how we get paid. You're really embarrassing yourself swoly. Paypal is the largest payment processor in the world. Amazon.com and many other websites use paypal - does that make them small time?

    LMAO at Swoly!

I'm low level and work in a cubicle too, SacTown. So if you really like talking crap about people with that kind of job I'll give you more material than you know what to do with... for a small fee.

    Here's a small sample:
I was recently given a flier at work saying I need to quiet down.
My five minutes of fame is saying Hi to John Force.
Never been to a strip club.
    Can't handle my beer.

There's plenty more where that came from. PM me for details and my PayPal account info.
