1.) Lowry + Scola + Dalembert for Gasol + Blake
2.) Martin + Patterson + Budinger for Al Jefferson + a procted 1st round pick

we'll have a Gasol/Jefferson twin tower, re-sign our free agents, sign Crawford with MLE, and we should be good enough for top 4 seed. line-up:

    Jefferson, Camby, Smith
    P. Gasol, Motiejunas, #16pick
    Parsons, Morris, #14pick
    Lee, Crawford
    Gragic, Blake, Boykins

if this happens, we might even lure D-Will to Htown via sign-n'-trade:
    Dragic(S&T) + draft right to Motiejunas + Dallas pick + #14 for D-Will(S&T)

    we'll be contender:

    Jefferson, Camby, Smith
    P. Gasol, #16pick(Sullinger?)
    Parsons, Morris
    Lee, Crawford
    D-Will, Blake, Boykins

Assets for Meyers Leonard or Andre Drummond.

    And

    Assets for Perry Jones.

The only asset I care about the Rockets keeping is D-Mo, otherwise, anyone is expendable.

    :)

    Extremely farfetched proposal

    1. We could take on Magette's or Diop's expiring for Scola, Parsons, and Hou pick for #2. They could use Scola next to Bismack and Parsons' great defense. Definitely puts them in the right direction especially if they amnesty Tyrus.

    2. Lowry, Ppat for Kings pick (#5) plus Hayes

    3. Martin, Bud, Morris, NY pick for Gay. Grizz get cap space for lax tax hell year.

Sign back Dragic and Camby, draft Drummond at 2 and Beal at 5. Fill in the rest. Waive Dally if needed.

    Dragic
    Beal
    Gay/ (Magette)
    Hayes/ Dmo
    Camby/Drummond/ (Diop)

Probably wouldn't happen, but we can dream eh?

Camby can't start anymore without breaking down and I don't think he can even be relied on as a bench player, ie stay healthy.

    BLOCKBUSTER:

    Patterson
    Lowry
    Martin
    Mavs Future First Rounder

    FOR

    #5
    Evans
    Garcia

    For Kings:
I think the Kings would value Patterson's relationship and influence on Demarcus. He also has played some great games against the Kings and remains a young player with plenty of potential. Lowry is an above average starting PG and a fringe all-star and could become the emotional leader of a team that desperately needs one. They traded K-Mart because him and Tyreke could not co-exist on the court.. Well the Tyreke thing didn't work out so why not go back to K-Mart? Very least could help them make a strong playoff push and is a big expiring deal. They shed Garcia's contract which is always a must in small market teams. Mavs future first rounder is just sweetner for future flexibility with trading away a future pick to the Cavs for JJ Hickson (yikes!). May have to change that to #16. I like to think the Rockets could package those and move up to a somewhat earlier lotto and get Clutch (Morey's ) boy Dion Waiters.

    For Rockets:
The core of mediocrity is finally broken up (Thank God). Two disgruntled players from the Adelman era are shipped off and McHale's job gets significantly easier. Tyreke seems like a classic Morey pick up. Guy with loads of talent who's stock is really low. Can the Rockets turn it around or will it be T-Will Vol.2? When you don't have superstars you got to take chances on players with talent. Let's hope it ends up better. At five the Rockets take the best player available which could be the bluechip they need in a blockbuster deal. If the player is kept you end up with a Beal, Drummond, T-Rob type that is perfect for the rebuilding effort. Garcia is not very good but could provide some depth. I believe he can play a little PG (or at least guard them) so perhaps some emergency depth. I imagine he's better than Boykins or Fortson.

Whew! I should be working not explaining hypothetical trades but that was way too fun.

    Round 2.

    Tried the Trade machine
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=btlboth

This could net us Gasol and Josh Smith.
Put Gasol at the 5 and Smith at the 4
use our 14th and 16th picks on either Terrance Ross (Wash) Terrance Jones (UK) Austin Rivers (Duke) Meyers Leonard (Illinois) Tyler Zeller (UNC) whichever is available I'd personally lean Rivers and Leonard if available.

    Gasol/Leonard
    Smith/Morris
    Parsons/Budinger
    Lee/Rivers
    Dragic/Hinrich (FA)

This could be a team to watch out for in 2012-2013 and could contend for a top 4 seed in the western conference finally

The 76ers (No. 15) are also open to trading out of the first round for a veteran, as are the Rockets with their second first-rounder (No. 16), multiple sources have said.

So, we are getting Bernard James? He was in the Air Force before going to college.
