I dont understand the reasoning, "stolen from Android" or "stolen from ____". Fact of the matter is that both phones are capable of the same thing...so I dont care if one of them invented a touch screen or speaker phone...as long as it has features that I want in a phone. The prize doesnt go out to the company that came out with something a number of years ago...the prize goes out to the company that is currently meeting all your needs as a consumer.
its a problem when a company who copies just as much as any other company tries to win over the competition by trying to stop the competition from being able to sell their products because of patent infringement.
If it was really such patent infringement, then Google could sue and abolish Apple forever. We'll wait and see how that plays out...
Apple has some idea in their head (and fanboys) that they invented the smartphone and every thing else is a copy. They have been outpaced for a while now. If you don't understand the reasoning, don't assume none exists.
I understand...but as a consumer, it doesn't matter to me if company A or company B came out with the invention of something first. That makes no difference to me. It's like saying, "I will buy a Ford over a Chevy bc Ford came out with the windshield first". Does it really matter, as long as both have windshields??? Seems to me that fanboys have issues with this kind of thing.
It's sad to see how Apple has gone from innovating to lagging behind and playing catchup....especially in the smartphone realm that THEY revolutionized not even 10 years ago. What's even weaker is how Apple cuts off older devices every time they drop a new iOS....for no true reason other than to pressure people to upgrade their device.
It sucks as a consumer....but it's brilliant as a producer. They have the ideal business model. Unfortunately, I'm on the wrong side of things.
anyone else confused on why the 3GS gets iOS6 while the original ipad doesn't? i am sure 10000000000000000s of people will buy the new iphone just because.. i am actually hoping windows phone 8 (june 20th) can show us some better stuff than this.
Android users are going to have a good time teasing Apples fanboys about this one. Logical or not, the iPhone fanboys have been pretty vocal about Apple products being both superior and ahead of the curve in every way. Your reasoning is, of course, sound. But that's not going to stop the mud-flinging.
Yeah this sucks for me because I own the original iPad. At least they're still supporting the 3gs which is 3 years old. That's a hell of a lot better than any Android device on the market.
They do argue that their device is superior, but so does any fanboy. I rarely hear Apple fanboys saying their devices are ahead of the curve in every way. That's mostly from Android fanboys. I would argue that they are ahead of the curve, but when Apple decides to add that same feature, it's usually done in a better and cleaner way.
nm: just read, looks like this update is just about worthless for anyone who doesnt have a 4s or ipad.
