KG has won a title already, so I doubt he takes a steep discount to help a team win a ring. He has money, but money is one thing you can always use more of.

A more realistic target for Miami, I think, would be Marcus Camby.

I expect Miami to make a huge run for Ray Allen, as Miller has been a huge bust.

KG can still demand top dollar b/c he's still an elite defender, and good low post scorer. A team like the Knicks could really use him. Imagine Chandler and KG manning the D, and KG can provide the low post presence the Knicks desperately need. Unfortunately, Boston, or anybody, doesn't care for Amare. Will be interesting to see where KG lands. I don't think he will retire. He was great in the playoffs.

I still say KG is traded West... Portland will be his home.. some one said the Clippers... But Dallas would out bid the clips for him.

Marcus Camby lives in Houston and doesn't want to leave. I think he either returns to the Rockets or retires. He may have already said this publicly. Very doubtful he accepts a min contract anywhere but here and the min probably isn't even enough to keep him playing.

Besides, Camby is 38 years-old. I don't think Miami wants to go that direction.

Then maybe Sam Dalembert (assuming he becomes a FA) a younger player whose home country is quite close to Miami. That team can really use some size.

As for Camby, I doubt he retires. He said he hopes to play 20 seasons and he's done 16. The guy still has something left in the tank and folks will be calling him with job offers. I can see him taking 3 years $9.6 million to play with Miami like Battier did.

Allen in Chicago would be a perfect fit IMO.

Dalembert will go to the highest bidder. He has an inflated opinion of himself and only cares about money. He's a spring chicken at 31.

I'm not going to bother searching for links but I doubt very much Camby takes $3 million/year from anyone but the Rockets. He's missed 20+ games the last 2 years and will last 2 more if he's extremely lucky, much less 4.

The Heat lockerroom was very celebratory, unlike OKC's.

The difference in this series was the LeBron/Pierce matchup, well Lebron taking Pierce out the game since Pierce didn't guard him in game 7.

Pierce was clearly hurting during the playoffs.

Maybe I missed something but how was Pierce clearly hurt? Maybe hurt by foul trouble but not by injury. I don't remember hearing anything about Pierce being hurt going into this series and I don't remember him getting hurt in the series.

Pierce offensive game is just slow. He has the ugliest offensive game out of any good offensive player.
