yeah, wtf is wrong with some of these members. how can they hate shane battier, a former rockets who played his heart out for us. And I think shane has earned the right to chase a ring just like every other aging role player getting close to retirement. where the hell does he expect shane battier to go??? toronto? lol.
Some of these guys are just insane. I've learned to not take them seriously because it sets me into troll mode when people are this out of their mind with their takes. It's better to just laugh at the crazy people instead of fighting back with them. I'm learning.
Shane is a nice guy, and a decent player who is clearly on the decline. Your bias is clearly showing. HE is part of the supporting cast. Shane was slowly declining on defense, while he was on the Rockets. He is lucky to be with Lebron and Wade, which makes his job easier. Despite that he still isn't playing particularly well.
I'll never get the hate for Battier. But then, maybe I just don't hate that easily. I don't hate Mo Taylor, Eddie Griffien, Cato, and numerous other huge fails in Rockets past. T-Mac's quitting left a sour taste in my mouth, but I wouldn't boo him against the Rockets. The only player I truly despise in all of my Rockets fandom is Pippen. I've been disappointed in Battier's playoff disappearing acts. I also felt he truly regressed since his surgery and became overrated since then. But he was an excellent role player for us, and is no longer physically capable of playing at a high level at this point in his career. But I still can't root for the Heat because after all, they are the Heat. And the Juwan Howard curse is just too funny. Pretty much all of CH's posts that are 1 or 2 sentences can be automatically construed as a troll post. If he's actually serious, he'd would actually take the effort o explain his position.
Shane Battier is cool and all...but that guy is so bad. Laughed so hard when this board overrated the hell out of him. Kobe scoring 30+ on you every game does not mean you are playing good defense or stopping anyone.
Shane and Chalmers were their best role players last night. If the Heat wins it all, two former Rockets will get rings.
