Prediction - Paul Pierce will be traded to OKC this summer; Garnett follows at veteran minimum

Great series. I have so much respect for Doc Rivers and Ray Allen. I have no respect for KG, Rondo & Pierce. No class. Bosh was huge, Miami could not have done it without him. If he's healthy for this whole series, it's a sweep. Bosh being injured made Miami sweat a bit in this one. As an NBA fan, this was a great series and I'm lucky to have watched it. Lebron's numbers in this entire series were insane. He's great and he deserves this.

Garnett will either retire or go to a championship caliber team. Who that team is? No idea. I don't think he's looking to teach. ;) Maybe stays in Boston.

Pierce, yeah, I can definitely see him being traded. I'd hate to see that but would understand it.

Then poor Doc. What's left for him to coach? Rebuild?! That would kinda suck but he did sign that 5 year extension last year(I believe).

i wonder if river's falls to us, can we maybe actually pull off a deal for rondo. I love Dragic but, Rondo is just amazing.

if river's slips, do you think the celtics would maybe trade with us

lowry, patterson, rivers if he falls to us, 16th pick for rondo and the 21st pick

Doc Rivers is a great coach. For him to take the Celtics that far shows how great of a coach he is.

Agreed. His coaching is phenomenal. The failure of the Boston Celtics is on the players, not the coach.

I don't think the players failed. They're just too old and ran out of gas. If this was 08, I pick Boston to win it all.

What you appreciate about Doc is that his players, from the best to the worst player, always play hard for him. You could see the emotion on his and the players' faces at the end there.

The lack of a deep bench really hurt Boston. They couldn't afford to rest the big three enough.

Doc also excels in managing his player personalities better than the Zen Master. No ego on that team. Douchebaggery from Garnett, but other than that the big three created a unifying atmosphere. Instead of the throne/platform that the big three in Miami put themselves on. (Or more so just Wade/Bron)

I don't believe KG is retiring for one minute. He's got too much left in the tank.

But he should go to a team where his minutes can be reduced similar to Steve Nash.

Instead, he would go to the Lakers if they trade Pau. KG lives in LA plus he and Kobe are close friends. I doubt he plays for $3 million/year

Physically, he clearly has something left in the tank still. I wonder what motivates KG nowadays. He already has a ring, so no need to join some team at the mid-level money to ring-chase. He has also made a ton of money, but who knows what he's spent?

Perhaps he goes back to the Celtics just out of loyalty to/friendship with Doc Rivers. But then again, Danny Ainge hasn't exactly been coy about being treating players like, well, assets (almost traded Pierce at the deadline to the Nets for that 6th pick). So, KG knows it's a business.

As I said elsewhere, if the Rockets lands a star -- be it Pau Gasol or Dwight Howard-- and has substantial cap room, I wouldn't mind paying KG something like $10 million/year for 2 or 3 years. He is an elite defender and has the game to complement almost any other star. I hope the money plus perhaps some persuasion from Kevin McHale could persuade him.

Imagine KG playing center for the Heat next season. Unstoppable.

He just went off the court without shaking their hands. No Class. Could you imagine if Lebron did that? Oh wait, he DID do that and was crucified for it in his Cleveland days.

LOL, sorry bro, but think about it, ray has a year or 2 left, and he's gonna be looking to join a contender , not a rockets team that has no idea where they're heading:mad:
