    Sucks doesn't it?
Boston is done. Garnett and Allen are probably gone after this season and Pierce will be gone soon after that. Pretty sure Rondo will ditch in free agency too. :)

Now I can enjoy a stress-free series in the finals. ;)

wow Doc Rivers is saying the same thing I said about Bosh being the X-Factor in the game and pulling playing between guarding him or James..and hitting those 3's..

During the Trophy celebration Alonzo wanted to give Celtics credit; Crowd wanted no part of it.

    Doc:

"I felt like we didn't have anything left."

"Don't know if I had a group like this."

"Miami was terrific. Bosh, Chalmers, Battier the difference. They're really talented and Erik does a terrific job. Wish he got more credit. Classy organization but on our guys, I love them. Phenomenal.

"Nothing to do with me, I wanted this group, when you think about this group, to lose Wilcox, Bradley, Green, if we could have got this group to the finals, it would have been fantastic. They deserved it with their will. This is a team. We had a terrific team effort by everybody."

"I'll look back and probably say what a great run but right now, too competitive to see that."

"We needed Bosh's guy to help slow down LeBron. Bosh made shots. Made 2 threes. 3 threes. Listen, if that's what's gonna beat you, and we got the ball out of LeBron's hands, we take it. He was the X-factor and gave them exactly what they needed."

"I love about being a Celtic is, we have 17 banners. That's it. We don't celebrate individual stuff. All those guys sacrificed individual games to help the team. That's where I'm most proud of Rondo. He was our leader on the floor."

"I wish we could have healthy runs (with the Big 3). They won a title and got to another one and got to the ECF. Because of Kevin's injury, not sure we could have gotten more out of the group. Would have loved to seen Kevin injury free but injuries part of the luck of it. Great group, great team group. People will look at the Big 3 individually but I don't see it that way. They all sacrificed for the better of the team, to try and win."

Can't really compare the two fanbases though. I do agree that most Boston fans are arrogant and sometimes classless. But Miami really doesn't even have a fan base worth comparing to the Celtics.

Miami is a fairweather city. Can't really blame them, Houston couldn't even sell out games until the latter part of our 22 game win streak. We're more fairweather, especially since we have the Texans here.

KG and Rondo will be back.
Paul will stay a Celtic for life.

    We will be back.

    lol...... What?

    Just stop.

You can't compare the fake fans of Miami sports to Houston. We do have fair weather fans like any city, but we aren't miami-bad. The people don't know **** about sports, half of them couldn't care less.

More over, TERRIBLE example using the Texans. They're the one team everyone seems to support even when they're not doing well. Houston's a football city first and foremost, and it shows.

Miami isn't even a sports city.

LOL. You won't lose them from lack of loyalty. You'll lose (Pierce, KG, Allen) to OLD AGE. Haha. Its that sense of inevitability that has to suck. No matter what happens, in two to three years they will be gone.

You better hope Rondo doesn't ditch town for greener grass.

Those are some key players going to other teams... Boston could become a real young strong team next year by selling there team assets.

Garnett and PP have 3 to 5 years to go.. Rondo?? he will slip to a beach job.

That's what I'm saying. Houston fans don't care about basketball because we have the Texans. LOL. Thanks for proving my point.

Not sure how I'm wrong here. Fair weather has nothing to do with sports knowledge. Its showing up when your team wins and shying away when it doesn't. I'm sure you've seen the empty lower bowl at the Toyota Center for nearly all our games in the reg. season.

What's said is that as "old" as Boston is.....they still have a brighter future than my Rockets :(

If Boston is smart they will start a fire sale now and rebuild early. Rondo is great, but I'm not sure if he can CARRY a team.

We have the draft. If only Les Alexander will ****ing put us on the rebuilding track instead of the mediocrity track. I hate that guy.

They'll be back soon enough. 15 years? Ha, no. Celtics aren't the Rockets. Celtics, like LA, expect nothing but the best(aka championships). They'll regroup/retool.

    . . . . . . .

    Spoelstra:

"[I guess] That is what a 7 game series is supposed to be like. Boston the last 2 years that has pushed us and forced us to redefine ourselves. Good to see us come together. A great group in that locker room. Doc does a tremendous job. He has pushed our coaching staff and me to be better. We don't take this for granted. We built some character and obviously have a bigger goal in the next round."

"We all had a big pit in our stomach when he[Bosh] walked off in the Indy series. We knew for 2 years he was our most important player because he makes it all work. "

"At this point, both teams are dangerous and both know it. We've been through a lot in 2 years. The trials and tribulations we've been through have strengthened us. No question we'll need it next round."

I guess so, if you ignore LeBron scoring 10 and assisting on the Bosh 3 to break the game open when they were down by 1.

I disagree about the Rockets... Boston is not ready to rebuild at this time.. The Rockets are way ahead of Boston.. But Boston has players to trade.. and there are OLD players... Rondo will not run a team to the finals next year or any year to come!

ZZ has spoken the final word on this
