Portland's #6. Although I want Beal and it's looking more and more like he's going #3 to Washington.

Let's just offer 14, 16, 18, Lowry and Patterson for Tyreke Evans. Who knows? Maybe SAC says Yes.

Of course they say yes to that. Way too much for him if it doesn't include the #5 pick.

I've heard some talk that Darko wants to return to Europe and would be open to a buy-out. Not sure if that's legit, but I'm not completely mistaken -- and I might be -- but say Darko agrees to a $4M buyout, you'd essentially buy the Memphis pick for $3.4M (if you replace Webster with Darko), no? [Bigger cap hit, though.]

The 2013 draft is supposed to suck, but it still might be worth it. You don't really see first rounder being sold anymore.

I think #14 and #16 gets you to #8 or #9. Adding #18, you might be able to get #6 or #7.

I could be wrong, but I doubt there are a whole lot of teams looking to add three first rounders though.

Doesn't make sense to give up three picks for one. There is too much uncertainty after #1. You could draft the same type of player(s) at 14, 16, 18 than you would at 6 or 8. What if you trade those picks for 6 or 8 and one or two of those players turn out to be all-stars? It is highly possible with this draft.

Yeah, that must be the same beat writer who is enamored with Martin. I would think Morey would rather just let Martin walk after next season than do that deal.

Martin is going to play, and probably play well this year. Mark my words. Even if he just hates Houston, he's still going to want to continue his career in the NBA and get one last good contract. He will find a way to have a productive year.

There is no reason on earth for Morey to move Martin just for the sake of moving him. It makes no sense. Unless he's part of a big deal or they are getting something significant in return there is no point in giving up a productive scorer like Martin, and helping out a WC rival in the process.

Actually, I would say it does not make sense for this particular Rockets team to not trade 2 or 3 picks for one. We have too much clutter on the roster as it is; financially and from a playing time and chemistry perspective, the Rockets absolutely need to find a way to bundle picks and move up in the draft, regardless of value.

Now, that could completely change if a lot of players are moved for an all star. If that happens then I really like the depth of this draft. But for now, there are a couple players who will go in the top ten that the Rockets might be able to trade up for who will almost certainly not fall to them.

You can't tell he's a blood sucking lawyer? Smh. Just kidding, but bima is wordsmith and a great person to interpret the cba rules and by-laws. He's one of those Morey-ites, but he's a good poster, lol.

    Rockets trade- Lowry, Scola, Bud
    Get- Gortat, Hayes, Suns pick

Kings trade- Hayes, Evans, Fredette, Kings 1st rd pick (#5)
    Get- Lowry, Scola, Bud

Suns trade- Gortat, Suns 1st pick
    Get- Evans, Kings pick, Fredette

The Kings get rid of guys they don't really need anymore in Hayes, Evans, and Jimmer. They get definite upgrades at PG and PF and a spot-up shooter (which they don't have much of on that team) in Bud off the bench. They don't really need anymore Rookies IMO.

If Nash doesn't sign back (I don't he won't), the Suns get a chance to rebuild by taking on Evans and Jimmer (who weren't utilized correctly) for the #5 pick.

We get a definite upgrade at Center in Gortat, Hayes (we sure needed his high post passing abilities), and the Suns pick.

Maybe we go after Rudy Gay as well. The Grizz need to get under the cap before 2013-14 season lax tax comes into play. They get a dangerous 3 point shooter in Martin and bench depth in Morris and Patterson as well as a pick.

Rockets trade- Martin, NY pick, Ppat, Morris
    Grizz trade- Gay

Draft T.Ross and Leonard at 13 and 14. Sign Dragic back and let camby and Lee walk.

    Dragic
    Gay/ Ross
    Parsons
    Hayes/ Dmo
    Gortat/ Leonard

I would give anything at our disposal not named Parsons or Dragic and take back anything in return for Drummond and Barnes.

Are you really sure you want to trade D-Mo? Top 3 rookie next year as far as upside goes.

What's wrong with that proposal? You DID notice that he has the Rockets getting the #5 overall pick, right?

Please read more carefully before insulting others. Thank you.

I would have caught it if it was not presented in such an unusual format for this forum. One sentence is all I am asking for.

Kings trade the #5 and Thomas for Lowry. How difficult is that?

If austin rivers falls to us, we should try to trade him to boston for rondo and maybe pierce. hopefully just rondo.

how about lowry, patterson, rivers for rondo and 21st pick

is that too much. would you guys do it? would the celtics do it?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7onrha2

then, trade martin and dalembert to utah for al jefferson

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=chbj7cx

this one kind of less realistic but, trade scola, 16th pick, and morris for josh smith

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6ww8b9c

draft tony wroten with 21st pick

    rondo/wroten
    martin/lee
    parsons/budinger
    smith/motiejunas
    jefferson/camby

    that's a contender

oops just lee at sg and instead of drafting wroten, draft waiters or jeff taylor and buy a 2nd round pick and draft a pg

    rondo/rookie pg
    lee/jeff taylor
    parsons/budinger
    smith/motie
    jefferson/camby

    rondo/
