    Yeah please put Klose in.

Gomez is a one trick pony.

The goal should open things up because Portugal was packing it in on defense. now they will have to push forward and that should open things up for German counter attack.

Nearly ****ted my pants on several occasions, bad luck for Portugal tonight. 1:1 would've been the right score. That said, super important win for us, beat Denmark and on to the next round.

Holland vs Denmark: Every time the ball went into the dutch zone they looked lost or unsure of themselves. Not a good sign for them, as they are in a tough group.

Germany vs Portugal: Got to give credit to Portugal for playing very well defensively, they took away the center midfield from Germany.

Every team in this tournament is flawed in some way, it'll be interesting to see who wins it. I think either France or Italy will win Euro 2012.

Overall we were way too stagnant and slow after gaining possession, think this will change in game 2. Defense looked okay, especially Boateng and Hummels(man of the match imo). Lahm was too far away from his man nearly every time, resulting in dangerous situations. Still think he should play on the right side...

Gomez scored but Klose should start, he opens up the defense for guys like Müller and Podolski, adds the element of surprise in our offense.

Our midfield seems to be in decent shape, didn't see significant weaknesses or points of concern there.

Think now that we've won the guys will play more free-minded vs. Netherlands.

The problem with Gomez is that you play 10 against 11 with this guy. He cannot stop the ball, he cannot pass, he doesn't put in nearly the effort for instance someone like Olic does, he is basically useless if he doesn't score. Even though he scored the goal today, there is a reason why Bayern wants Dzeko...Lewandowski...or just someone who can play at all. I was in his camp for a long time because he always ends up making his goals and I know him and he's a nice guy and all - but he hampers both the national team's and Bayern's game. I want Klose to play instead of him on the national team, and I want Bayern to get Lewandowski or Dzeko.

Didn't watch the games, unfortunately, but just wanted to get my input on nani. He is a POS player. That is all.

Nani played great, but that one dive was one of the most pathetic I've seen in a long time. Gets fouled, continues to run for like 8m and then realizes he won't be fast enough to get the ball, so he does an Oscar deserving dive.

Yeah. The worst thing about it was the yellow card for Badstuber out of it.

Germany looked ok, that group is gonna be tough - the Danes winning is gonna mix it up some in the end.

Nani is like Cryalenko and Utd is like the jazz, at least for me. Not too fond of the Portuguese team, either. Glad they lost.

    Brazil for Euro champs!

While Nani's dive was bad he's going for a free kick. Neuer's dive against Postiga was deplorable. He's doing nothing more than trying to get the other player carded.

Still, good game by Germany. This group has gotten even more interesting.

Fabregas as central forward ahaha, Spain effectively playing without one forward.
