That's because David Falk hasn't had to deal with Maury yet. http://hoopshype.com/agents/david_falk.htm

It is, but some teams apparently do it anyway. Lots of talk about Dion Waiters having a promise as well. Of course we don't know whether or not those promises are legit. Sometimes agents will simply pretend, so teams start speculating and maybe end up reaching for a guy.
Nice!! Big fan of all three players. Was hoping to nab Sanders as UDFA but now he will be a 2nd round draft pick for sure.
Jesse Sanders....this kid deserves an invite to training camp <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Xhh4TiJiO8o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Seriously... this guy looks exactly like Parsons, if Parsons were 6'3. Similar stats. Similar face. Same number. Same hair. They even freaking move and shoot the same.
Saw this dude play against A&M this past year. From what I remember he was super solid. But, A&M was awful, so take it for what it's worth. Didn't think he was NBA quality though.
The Rockets have discovered one of the most underrated groups of players: Athletic white guys. At the time of their respective drafts, Budinger SHOULD have been a mid-first rounder in 2009; and Parsons SHOULD at least have been a late first rounder in 2011. But people's prejudices against white players not having the "athletic upside" caused them to slip, at least in part. (Pasons was actually the perfect player to take at the back end of the first round: a talented, all-around role player whose transition to a role on an NBA team--i.e., not being the primary scorer--would be minimal.) Keep those late pick/undrafted white guys coming!
Miles Plumlee? Welll... you can apply to interview everybody in the lottery, but chances are you won't be granted an interview with all those guys: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/06/08/SPDD1OV3RA.DTL
I know a lot of people aren't crazy about Rivers, but if the kid can play, he can learn to share the ball. He's a coach's son. He had to learn something good from his dad, yeah? Wouldn't hurt to have an alpha male on the team anyway. Not saying we'll pick him. Just saying.
There might be some truth to this. Isn't Morey always talking about identifying and exploiting areas that are undervalued?
They actually fall into another subcategory of players Rockets look at: Gator-armed guys. Parsons, Budinger, Lee, Martin, Lin, Landry, Morris, Motiejunas each had unimpressive arm length measurements for their height. According to this theory Jeff Taylor and Tyler Zeller should be Rockets targets for the 2012 draft.
Quincy Miller has a workout with Houston. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/sam_amick/06/10/draft.combine/index.html#ixzz1xRUqx4AQ
I don't know, he looked really bad at the combine. He wasn't great at Baylor, and he's kind of a tweener. I'm not a fan.
