**** it. I'll let the D&D become an anti-Obama circle jerk. Let this serve as my last post on CF.net.

I don't understand your thinking. The reason people think the unpopular healthcare law will be declared unconstitutional is because the Supreme Court is unpopular?

No, because 75% of us know there are judges on the court who give rulings based on their own personal leanings rather than the rule of law.

As I mentioned before it definitely eliminates the freedom of others. It eliminates the freedom of anyone who has a pre-existing condition and isn't uber wealthy to choose to buy insurance.

What I find particularly interesting is that you choose freedom of over large insurance companies with record profits, that drive up healthcare for everyone else over private citizens that have the unfortunate circumstance of a pre-existing medical condition.

I'm not really surprised that this is your philosophy, just interested as to why anyone would think that's the best way to do things.

If I have to choose who gets freedom of choice, I'll choose the individual with a pre-existing health condition every time over a company who's sole mission is to make profits.

This seems to be a very understated reason for why the economy is not picking up faster. Americans were on a credit binge for 30 years, people were gonna have to start paying back their personal debt at some point. This isn't really about Obama, just the American consumption habits the last 30 years because of access to cheap credit.

Frankly, a slower recovery to me guarantees a more stable economic foundation for the future if people got their **** together and aren't buying everything on credit. JMO.

New data just came out that shows 6.6 million young adults that did not have coverage before now are covered under ACA.

    Thanks Obama!

6.6 million kids that didn't have health insurance before and are now covered is a red herring?

Sounds like a major accomplishment to me.

What you've said is the red herring. Bush had 8 years and didn't accomplish any health care plan at all let alone a better one.

Obama did accomplish that. You've been shown up time and time again in this thread.

Not a major accomplishment if the SCOTUS slaps it down....Obama needs to know that he must operate under the constraints of the Constitution.

    Wrong

I think your brain sees what it wants to see. It just says 6.6 million people who were not covered under their parent's plan now can be. That doesn't mean 6.6 million people are covered by health insurance that otherwise wouldn't be. Why don;t we just bump the law up to 50 instead of 26 so we can get that number rly high......

Also they aren't kids they are 19-25 yr old adults. who the **** calls a 19-25 yr old a kid.
