    This.

Love is a big body and he uses his size to the max. Even though Love opted for more jumpers/added 3 pointers to his aresenal this year he plays physical inside and always gets in great position.

It's unfair to compare Patterson to Love because Love has and always will be the supremely talented/skilled player but Ppat should watch tape of Faried and mold his game after that instead of strictly shooting 14 footers.

I'd love to trot out Robinson at PF and Donuts at C at some point in the future. Gives us great offense and great defense from the front court if the both pan out. Big if, but we're in a position to take risk if there ever was one in the NBA.

I must say, the 2nd pick would be good, but for who? I cant see a situation where the Rockets have a better package than every other team who wants the pick.

Let's get Thomas Robinson, the only other we can build around besides Davis.

I argued in the D-Mo thread that he was going to be a center in another couple of years when he added another 25 pounds. Two other very knowledgeable people argued against me. I'm still not convinced we won't see D-Mo manning the 5 in a couple of years. He really has a fluid and convincing low post game. He and Robinson would look good out there together in another couple of years. They both have post games and are pretty deadly with the 14 foot jumper.

You could try and get #'s 5 and 6. Then build your team around Beal and Lillard.

Include Patterson in the deal, as Robinson is on another level entirely, and keep Donuts!

And Love doesn't make a team a contender either. Switch Scola with Love and this team would've gotten swept by the Thunder in the 1st round. That's the point. PFs that don't have ridiculous size like KG or Duncan can't impact the floor on both ends. If you just talk about offense, Scola provides that now, and Motiejunas can provide that in the future. If the Rockets trade up to #2 and draft Robinson, they better think his ability to score is on par with Barkley or Malone. And then trade Motiejunas to clear up playing time.

Personally, I'm not enamored with anyone at #2 that I'd be willing to give up all our trade chips for. Of course the Rockets could really like someone, but they better be certain that guy will turn into an all-star in a couple of years.

This is the most ridiculous arguement ive heard...

To say an undersized pf never made a team a contender is ridiculous and short sightedness... id list players but id rather save time and energy...

Because love is so so small he cant contribute on both sides... yet he averaged around 25+ ppg and 14+ rpg... if rubio doeant go down theyre in the playoffs and contending... if they get a solid sg they are legit contenders and k.love is the main contribution...

It would be a great start to a new beginning though.

I have that terrible gut feeling that we're not going to do anything this offseason again and that we'll end up picking somebody at 14 that won't turn out. I would absolutely love to be proved wrong but I've learned not to set my expectations too high to spare myself the heavy disappointment.
