2. Kata Robata Lol...this place is good, but #2 in Houston is ridiculous. 4. Hugo’s This place is barely avg! 9. Pondicheri This might be the single worst restaurant in Houston. I don't know how anyone can eat here. Even white people who think they like Indian food should not be eating here. Worst POS spinach samosa I have ever had. The chicken tikka masala was overcooked! I mean who overcooks chicken? The naan was laughable at best. 11. Himalaya This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Houston. 13. Dolce Vita Very very good food. Their pizzas are da bomb! 25. Crawfish & Noodles Oh man....best crawfish in Houston this season by far! 36. Indika Barely avg. Seems like Houstonians love anything Indian fusion. 51. Cafe Pita + Should be way higher on the list. I would put this in my top five. 52. El Tiempo Best TexMex in Houston. 54. Americas Best churassco style steak in Houston 68. Banana Leaf This place sucks! Not putting Marks atleast in the top five alone makes this list freakin stupid.
Angus Grill? TErrible service. the only reason it tastes good is because they let you wait til you get served.
Oxheart is very good. Definitely something that feels like it belongs in California or Europe. Kata Robata is easily the best sushi and I think Cook based her rating on the "omakase", where the chef works his magic.
Incorrect. Feast never operates from a food truck. They used to work from the KITCHEN at Grand Prize and they also have a location on Westheimer. C'mon man.
I wonder what their standards are. The drinks at this place are amazing. They do infused tequilas, and make some original and great drinks. The food isn't horrible, but you can do better at virtually any taco truck in town.
Moon Tower should be on this sucker. I don't like Alison Cook either though, I hate pee-pee game "celebrities" -- people who think they're important. Like Richard Justice and Pancakes.
I've only been to The Breakfast Klub and Frenchy's. I thought Perry's Steakhouse would've been on there for sure.
El Gran Malo is just a straight-up cool place. El Jarro is clearly better but El Gran Malo is cooler to like. Brah.
Glad to see Killen's made the list. Great place here in Pearland, if no one has been you should definitely give it a try. I have been going there since they opened in 2006 (coincidentally the same year we moved here). It's a bit pricey, but well worth it in moderation.
Every person is going to have their own list. Bang for your buck, El Tiempo is massively overpriced. The Margaritas are exceptional and the food is good, but you're spending a C-note easy in that place which seems ridiculous for a non steakhouse. Based on its Friday Pork Chop lunch alone, I'd have Perry's Steakhouse in my top 100. Rotisserie for Beef and Bird is also an oldie but goodie.
anybody been to Cafe Rabelais in the Rice village? I've heard good things from my French neighbor but haven't been myself yet
I could have stated that with more clarity. Yes, they have a location on Westheimer and the only other semblance of another location (since we were talking about chains) is the arrangement they have with Grand Prize. And I stand corrected about it not being a food truck (often not completely sober there).
