Will Everyone Please Stop Calling LeBron A Superstar?

    He can average 40 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists per game as far as I'm concerned...but if he can't get his team over the hump in the final couple of minutes, what's it all for?

    It's not enough to just get your team to a certain point. You have to also carry them to the top of the mountain.

    LeBron's teams are 2-6 when facing elimination in the postseason.

    LeBron James is 0-3 over the past 2 postseasons when attempting game-winning shots with under 24 seconds to go.

    Meanwhile, the 23 year old Kevin Durant just got his OKC Thunder to the NBA Finals on the heels of a 34 point, 14 rebound performance. He has Russell Westbrook, you say?

    Well...LeBron has Dwayne Wade. And he STILL can't get his team to the top.

    LeBron can be a highlight reel, All-NBA 1st Team guy, Defensive Player of the Universe... all that.

    BUT, if he can't get his team to the top and fails to come up big in clutch situations...

    Where's the Superstar in that?

    The NBA is slowly becoming Kevin Durant's world.

    Yes that Durant did get his team to the NBA finals but didn't Lebron get his team to the finals just last season? Didn't a 23 year old Lebron also get his Cleveland team to the finals in '07?

    Do you think that Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Ewing, Mullen and Miller weren't superstars either? How about the current guys? Rose, Howard and CP3 aren't superstars?

    Lebron = 0 rings... not a superstar
    Durant = 0 rings... ZOMG SUPERSTAR!!!!

    This thread is awful. Lebron is a superstar. And it's not even close. And yes, Durant is a superstar also.

    And people thought i was going too far to say the spurs don't have any superstars...................

    Funny thing is in a way it proved to be true. The superstar in that series was Durant, and he willed his team in that series to win it.

    As far as Lebron.......the guy is the best player in the league. Hell Yea he is a superstar.
