My girlfriend has an apartment this summer and she needs cable and internet. I signed her up for Comcast internet for about 27 dollars a month (this includes router rental) along with a 25 dollar installation fee. Is this the best deal around?

Now I need to get her the cheapest cable possible. Looking around cable seems to be a lot more expensive so I was wondering is there a way to get her basic cable for like 20 a month and with who, if not who would be the cheapest provider?

    Thanks.

I'm sure she is a great kid, your girlfriend. Best I can suggest is don't battlefight for cable, just watch shows online. It's just 2 months.

If I am not mistaken if you get internet you also get the cable signal, you just need to split it before the router...

Climb your local electrical tower and hook yourself up.

These kids need to be focused on the season ahead of them. Not on what they're going to watch on the tee-vee tonight.

I think during the 2 month layover (I'm assuming between mini-camp and training camp?), "she" should be at the gym and at Rice running drills with the rest of the team.

Butterfingers, you aren't on the Texans anymore. You're on the Ravens after you killed us in the playoffs!

I've never tried it, but I think that's wrong. Usually you need a cable box to interpret/translate the signal coming to the tv. They do this to prevent doing what you are suggesting.

Wrong forum. Or maybe if you hang out in the Houston Texans parking lot with your laptop, you can grab some free internet from them.

Both are contract services, so not good for 2 months.

Get a strong Wi-Fi antenna/adapter and steal somebody's. For 20 bucks, get a sizeable radius:

Cheapest cable? Stream TV via your neighbor's Wi-Fi.

    Problem solved.

This would be true if the cable service provider no longer supports analog signals

Spend $100+ for the fastest cable internet connection you can find. Between torrents, basic cable websites and Amazon or Itunes you shouldn't need cable.
