Purely from personal experience, what do you think is the worst state in the Union, and why? Personally, I think Tennessee is the worst state. The cities are dirty, the roads are full of potholes, the people cant drive. I like east Tennessee, but that doesnt make up for how bad the state is from Nashville to the Western border.
I hope it's not too bad. i'll be in Chattanooga next week for a camping trip. Weather better cooperate.
That's weird, because my friend just moved to the Nashville area about 2 months ago, and he said the roads there are way better than in Houston. I thought that was a really strange observation at first, but now you mentioned their roads, but in a negative way. Things that make you go hmmmm...
I drove them yesterday. I came down 65 from Louisville, to Nashville, then over to Memphis, then on down through Little Rock, down to Houston. There is a stretch of road between Nashville and Memphis that is littered with potholes. They actually began paving one lane of the highway, but then I guess thought it was too much work and never decided to pave the other lane. So now, there is one lane 'raised' about 6 inches higher than the other, causing people to go nuts when changing lanes. The roads in some parts of Houston are pretty bad, I will say that. Its when you get off the highways you notice them.
Nevada. Without a doubt, Nevada houses the worst people in the United States. Having lived in East Texas all of my life (except for the last six years), I couldn't have been more surprised at how unfriendly and "get-out-of-my-way" the people that live here are. Texas (and the South in general) have some of the nicest and friendliest people on earth. If I ever decided to move back to Texas, that would be a huge factor in my decision. The schools suck ass here also. #49 is all you need to know how Nevada values its education (#50 - Arizona). F YOU NEVADA AND NEVADANS!!!
california. i dont care how nice some places look. they got into a deficit thats higher than the budget of some countries. its a craphole.
Wow really? i made the exact opposite drive just 2 weeks ago to Louisville. and i know the one lane highway you're talking about. it was smooth on east bound side.
Florida would definitely be up there. Crazy laws, and crazy politicians there. Miami is a huge minus for the state.
West Virginia is pretty bad: high poverty levels and coal mining is the only thing keeping the state afloat.
Only people who have visited all the states can answer that question objectively. Otherwise, it's just "opinion." But... indulge me... how you didn't go to the clean cities in Tennessee... did you even visit anything in Memphis?
