There is an article about Goran in today's Slovenian media you might find interesting (you can find it here: link)

I'll just summarise what he said:

    • About last season - The season was extremely exhausting. When I look back, it feels like we were just travelling, playing and the rare few free hours I had, I just rested. But I don't want to complain, I'm a professional and this is my job, my life.

    • About his breakthrough - Even during the season, when my breakthrough started I always knew what was going on. I was very real (down to earth); I believed in my abilities so I was not surprised. But it also true that in life and consequently in basketball you have to wait for your opportunity. I got it and I took it. But even with my best performances in second part of season I kept telling to myself that I must not stop. I must work hard I must go forward, to fulfil my goals, dreams.

    • Dreams? - I'd like to play an all-star game and win a championship ring. Dreaming is allowed right? But I won't just dream, I'll work hard for it.

    • About next season If I'm completely honest, I don't even know exactly what to expect. It is my first time to be in this situation. I don't know, I'll just listen and see what teams/players are forming different clubs and what are they offering. (the journalist continues that Dragič doesn't hide his wishes to stay in Houston as he and his GF like it there, because they gave him the chance, and at the end of the season he left Houston with 'good feelings'). Few days ago I dreamt that I was celebrating the championship with the Rockets. Ha, ha... nice dreams, they might come true. I don't hide it that I'd like to stay a Rocket, but it's still to early to talk about it.

    • About money - If the difference between two offers is gonna be a million or two, I will definitely pick a place I think fits me better.

    • About Zoran - (he plans to watch the summer camp in Las Vegas) He got the invitation, but that has nothing to do with me. They value him as a player. It's going to be a nice opportunity for him to prove his worth, although time is still on his side.

To me, these are his most reassuring comments yet. It really does seem like we have an excellent chance of retaining Goran as long as we can solve the Kyle Lowry issue. At this point, priority number one needs to be finding the best deal for Lowry.

Morey surely knows this, so I expect Lowry to be gone at the NBA draft.

Morey better not eff this up. It is pretty interesting to hear him hint that if the difference between two offers is "a million or two" that he would choose the better fit. When put in context it seems like he's saying if someone offered slightly more he would stay in Houston. Either way, the guy just admitted to the media, slovenian or not, that he had a DREAM that he won a championship with the Rockets. I don't know what else you want to him say other than, "If Houston wants me, they can have me".

Blazer fans already consider Dragic on their team.

    http://www.blazersedge.com/

    Ben Golliver:

Still, Aldridge's age pushes me toward favoring the Blazers "retooling" rather than "rebuilding." Aldridge will turn 27 next month, and if Portland dallies too long adding assets to the roster, the centerpiece might end up on the decline by the time his younger teammates are ready to contend. Dragic and Matthews are about the same age; Batum and Freeland are slightly younger.

Sounds like blazers fans are about as into hypothetical signings as we are...

If I were a betting man, I'd say Goran will be back in Houston considering that he's hanging out with K-mac, Morey, and our Euro big man.

Goran with Morey and McHale in the offseason, I think it is a GOOD chance he sticks with Houston. Why else would be be in around the staff. Is Zoran in Eurocamp this year?

How do y'all know Goran is for sure staying and Kyle is leaving? We won't know for sure until free agency and draft in my opinion.

I wonder if he has a Malata DVD player to go with his Dynex TV.

The Rockets can still offer Goran more $$$$ and more years than anyone else.....that is the benefit of the new CBA.

So the Rockets have the ability to sign Dragic to a $75M deal for 5 years ($15M/year), while other teams can only offer $55M for 4 years ($13.8M/year)?

    What a great benefit!

It puts the Rockets in the cat birds seat, anyone offering a contract has to know the Rox can match it, or put a little more in and an additional year.

Better than all the recurring "war feelings" that have gone before.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Magnavox VCR with the external rewinder on the side. It's all the rage in Slovenia.
