The villain support group is the best! <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/btB8tb8fLYM?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/btB8tb8fLYM?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
nice idea that seems very poorly executed. I wonder how much it cost to get the rights to use all those different video game villains. Since they have the rights, why not make one of the known bad guys the main character (such as Doctor Robotnik)?
Apparently the masses and critics like it. 85% / 90% http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wreck_it_ralph/ Honestly, I want to see this. I think I'll dig the old skool quarter-wastin' references. My son (7) is excited about it. My daughter (2) lights up everytime the trailers come on. Looks like a fun family-oriented movie with some nice adult-humor references.
My daughters are enjoying the side-kick/bad-girl combo in this movie... they're giddy to see this movie. I'll take them either tomorrow or Sunday. I believe John C. Reilly is the perfect "annoyed guy at the sidekick" for the character of Ralph. It's going to be a big box office hit, you just watch.
my boys are very excited about this movie. Looks lame to me, but I will still enjoy it with a beer at the movie tavern.
Saw it at midnight Loved it, loved everything nostalgic about the movie. I would've like to see a bit more of an appearance from the "actual" game characters, but was still good. The idea was pretty creative, and funny enough, the main characters has the same facial structure of their celebrity voices. It was creatively written just like in Shrek where the older crowd will get the puns and jokes that the kids wouldn't. Spoiler fair warning with kids, at the Bad Guy's convention, there's a scene where Kano from Mortal Kombat rips out a zombie's heart out (from House of the Dead) jokingly, which I was surprise they put in the movie.
*yikes, I can see the SPOILER upon quoting * In regards to the same facial structure as the celebrity voices... Disney is known to do that. Shenzi hyena from Lion King looks like Whoopi, Timone looks like Nathan Lane, Genie from Aladdin looks like Robin Williams. I'm sure you knew that, already, or just pointing out that they did a good job with it? Spoiler http://youbentmywookie.com/[/spoiler] Good stuff, though. I've been wanting to see it. Will probably wait for DVD or discount theater. My wife makes fun of me for wanting to see it, but the trailers make me feel nostalgic.
Just ask your swinger friends. I'm sure they won't make fun of you. SRSLY, though, take your wife and see it.
My son and I both have been looking forward to this for a while. Thank God it comes out the weekend I have him. So, we're seeing it tonight. I think it will be good.
Severe pacing issues. The beginning and end were great, but in between that it kind of dragged. Still good. Still worth seeing, but I expected more after its rave reviews.
Fiancee and I really enjoyed it. I loved all of the nods to former games; I laughed quite a bit. Wish they would have gone to other levels rather than spending so much time in "Sugar Rush". Other than that it was worth it.
Just saw it with my son. Excellent movie, great comedy, and you'll really appreciate it if you're an OG-gamer.
