This is actually a serious thread; I've asked friends for advice but they all just say to walk right up to her and start a conversation, which I have no problem doing. However, she's always wearing headphones, so I have no way of communicating with her.. We both go to the gym regularly, so I'm pretty sure I'll see her again tonight. Any serious advice would be much appreciated!
Here we go Can you hear what she's listening to when you walk by? If so, maybe see if you can recognize the artist and strike up a conversation. idk.
I believe I know this girl you are talking about: Spoiler Her name is Amber Lamps FYI, she is not easily impressed or swayed so I would just give up and move along if I were you.
Wait till nobody is around her, go the closest exercise equipment around her and ask her to spot for you.
Just talk to her and make a bad joke (just not penile/shaft jokes), let her get to know you first. What's the worse that could happen?
Does she ever talk to anyone else, or does she always just have her headphones on? She probably wears headphones to keep people from bothering her. If you still want to initiate conversation there is really no way to look cool while asking her to take her headphones off. I would suggest going up to her one time and politely saying "hi, did you happen to see a towel i left over her", or something along those lines. She'll say no, but now you can make eye contact and say hi the next time you see her without awkwardness. From there you can gage if you have a chance. Just an idea.
Thanks, shadybrah! I'll definitely try that out. I'm going there now to hoop, I'll check my phone periodically.
Wear a shirt that say trainer on the back and walk up to her and tell her she is doing it wrong. Tell her you be happy to assist her on how to correct her work out routine. Sometime you just have to add props to your game
