Spo isn't a good coach period. But don't blame the team when you're losing to a vastly inferior opponent. The person to blame is Dwayne Wade. Dude has played great in a total of 4-5 quarters in this entire series, and a complete ghost in the rest. Dude single-handedly lost this series. Coming into this series, Wade was supposed to be the biggest mismatch in favor of the heat, facing a hobbled Ray Allen with no Bradley. And yet, he's not even the 4th/5th best player in the damn series. Completely disgraceful. Lebron cost the Heat the ring last year. This year falls entirely on Wade.
ure boy lechoke is the one that thought it was a great idea to go to miami with only chris bosh as a big LOL. He should have went to chicago meh not looking relaxed wont help anything they still lost and no matter how he acts it doesnt guarantee they will win next game anyways at the end of the day the players control the outcome of the game coaching matters but the blame should primarily go to the heat especially wade dude is a straight bum and cry baby
You're boy? I wasn't expecting a serious reply. I mentioned that Bosh is injured therefore they have zero bigs with any go-to moves. They had 1. Now, they have zero. Try to stay with me. You can't be much older than 18, right?
Highly disagree with people jumping to the conclusion that Spo is not a good coach. I've watched the Heat this year. Their defense was fierce during the regular season, especially on the perimeter. Defense wins championships and is instilled by the coach. Their offense is very uptempo, which not surprisingly has slowed during the playoffs. Losing Bosh hurts more than people give it credit for. Just because you have two great but similar perimeter guys in LBJ and Wade (who is not as good as he used to be) doesn't mean your coach sucks if you don't win the NBA Finals every year. Give credit to Boston as well. They are playing phenomenally.
It is amazing to see how far Wade has fallen. I think of the guy that came into the league with a big heart and no fear. He raped the Mavericks in the finals in 06' went to the basket on every possession and scored most of the time . Now all he does is go to the basket and b**** and whine and moan to the refs. The humble guy that he was is no more. Now he is a prima donna whiny piece of turd that expects the refs to bail him out .
interesting i mention he should have went to chicago ( they have pretty good bigs in case u miss this point again) bosh is injured? oh noez guess what rose also got injured it happens but had lechoke gone to chicago even without rose they would have a bigger chance to win it all than his current situation u mad?
I am not sure how Chalmers has gotten worse-- looks like the same role player guard that he ever was. Actually had some good games in important moments this year. As for the rest of the crew, it seems more to be a matter of age/mileage and injuries: these guys are in their 30s and, perhaps more important, have logged a lot of minutes and gotten injured a few times. To me, it's kind of the front office's fault for spending all of their free agent money on this kind of guys and failing to obtain competent young players (I know San Antonio doesn't look that great now down 2-3, but Miami sure can use a Tiago Splitter, DeJuan Blair, Danny Green, etc.).
Nah I'm getting paid to **** around on cfans all day I'm not gonna feed you any more though, troll. Kids these days. SMH.
Is it just me or does every Boston possession after a timeout result in a dunk by Kevin Garnett or a wide open jumper, while every Miami timeout is followed by somebody throwing something up to barely beat the shot clock, because they had no clue how to attack the Boston defense, that just changed to or from a zone, or to (or from) a trap? Spo is AWFUL
fair enough on Chalmers. But he hasn't gotten better. On the others, sure age is an issue. But I think the point is that the James/Wade/Bosh combo should make these guys better, even considering their ages. That's what great championship teams do. They turn Robert Horry, Steve Kerr, BJ Armstrong, Francisco Elson, Matt Bonner, Fabricio Oberto, Chucky Hayes, Samaki Walker, Lindsay Hunter, etc. players into guys that still aren't all that great (heck in some cases not even all that good) into guys that fit the system, are in the right place at the right time, and even pick up their stars with big shots. For all the hate Lebron gets for not being a closer, let's not forget the huge shots Horry made over the years that allowed those Lakers squads to win, or Kerr... or Mario Elie Spoelstra's biggest task is getting the system to work as a whole. He hasn't been handed 8 all-stars, but he's failed at what he has been handed. It's splitting hairs, yes. They were a 4th quarter collapse away from winning it all last year (potentially, them up 2-0 would have been tough). But isn't that the difference? Of billions of people on this planet, only 30 get to be professional nba coaches. just because spoelstra doesn't appear to be the best at it doesn't make him a bad person, or even a horrible coach, but not the best, at this level, and especially with this squad.
It's not the finals, people. It's the old celtics everybody counted out that we are talking about here.
Totally untrue. Wade was deadly from the field in 06. He killed the Pistons and Mavs when fouls weren't called. Some of those games were Superman performances. He's lost a lot of tread off his tires since then. Not the same player.
Yup. People think the FTs only. That wade (or Wade prior to 09 in general) was a pretty damn good midrange jumpshooter. He was able to use the pick and roll and make that shot, something he can't do now. It's either go to the basket or nothing. This Wade is facing the same path as Kobe, but without a jumper. He's on the decline.
No offense to Kobe, because he's still a great player. But if Kobe didn't have his mid range J right now, I don't think he'd put up more than 15 a game.
The redundant skill set between Wade and Lebron is really showing on offense. Especially without Bosh's spacing on the floor. The lack of size is killing them on Defense as well. KG is getting 10 points a game by just running to the front of the rim and they just put the ball up on the air to him where the 6'8" guys can't get it.
