Yes, but Dragic would have to want to go to Orlando.

Sometimes players just need a change in scenery(ie the Miami Trio)...Gosh imagine if Dwight does come here to houston...it would be like the circus in Miami..

Wanted to revisit this topic again now that the lottery is over.

I thought that the single biggest threat was NJ. They were the only team that would have willingly traded the #1 pick for DH12. Now, they don't even have a pick. Their best offer would be a resigned Lopez and Marshon Brooks.

The Lakers are also looming. After yet another disappointing exit, have they changed their stance on trading Bynum? They could trade Pau for a resigned Deron Williams and then Bynum for Dwight. Would the Nets want an aging Pau or would they prefer to start fresh?

Perhaps Golden State puts Steph Curry and/or Bogut in play. That could also be enough to seal the deal.

Houston's offer would remain around Lowry, Martin, 14, 16, and some further combination of Budinger, Morris, Patterson, and Motiejunas.

Pretty much any and everyone in the Houston cupboard is in play right now.

Morey could flip Lowry to the Raptors for #8 and then Martin to the Wolves for the #18 and Beasley. They could then send Orlando a package of 8, 14, 16, 18, and either of two former 14's (Morris/Patterson), or/and a projected top-10 if coming out this year (Motiejunas.)

Houston also has the flexibility to take back Turkoglu or Richardson/Davis. If they trade Dalembert, they can give Orlando instant savings of $6million on the year.

Houston can't offer a blue-chip prospects, but they can offer Orlando long-term, immediate financial relief and a king's ransom of cheap young prospects. Depending on what blue chip prospect is in play (Bynum, Curry), I think the Rockets stand as good a shot as anyone right now.

    0.0001%, if not 0%.

Morey might say, 96.7%, just liked our opportunities into playoffs.

Uhh... Guys, the Brooklyn Nets completely flushed their Dwight Howard dreams down the toilet when they made the Gerald Wallace trade that ended up making them lose their one great asset involved in a potential Dwight Howard trade...the #6 pick in the draft.

I sincerely doubt the Nets have the ability to give the Magic anything close to what the Rockets can offer this Summer, and if the reports are true, the Magic are looking to move Dwight the Summer and not at the trading deadline. If thats true, then thats good news for the Rockets.

If the Magic liked the package they were getting from the Rockets a few weeks ago, its sure to be much better this Summer. The complexity of a said deal would have to pretty massive Im sure to possible get a 3rd team involved, but the Rockets will have some of the best pieces to trade unless a lottery team jumps in with a young rebuilding piece+top draft picks and take a huge gamble to rent a disgruntled Howard for a season.

Houston stands a way better chance then a team like Sacramento or Washington retaining Howard. Unless a team like LAL insanely gives up Bynum for Howard, I think the Rockets have the best package still.

Pointless poll. You should have used the thread rating instead.

He wants out, and the Magic are sick of his act. He's got until the draft to sign an extension with them, or they are putting him on the auction block.

Thanks to the Nets getting shut out of the lottery, we suddenly stand a very good chance of renting him. And I'll happily rent Dwight.

25% to get him if we really want him. To keep him would be even smaller.

I think we're also forgetting the potential damning that is Kevin Mchale.

I don't think many players want to play for him, except some of the guys on teh current team.

Although he was overpaid, I keep going back to one of the main reasons NeNe didn't sign with us.

Outside of the Bynum deal and the Clips offering Griffin, Orland probably won't see an offer better than Lowry, Martin, Scola, Parsons, 14th pick, 16th pick for Howard/Hedo. You are basically talking about Lowry, Martin, Rivers, Parsons, Scola, Zeller/Leonard for Howard. People saying there is 0% chance of the Magic taking that kind of offer are crazy and Morey does that without a second thought.

If we don't trade for Dwight on draft night, our odds of trading go down about 25 percent. If we don't trade for Dwight before July 1, our odds go down another 50-70 percent.

And if Dwill signs a 4 or 5 year free agent deal somewhere else besides Houston before Dwight is traded, then our odds of trading for Dwight become nil.

An obsession with Dwight coming to Houston is like a dead fly.

Also, those talking about a Bynum deal, do you realize Bynum is on the last year of his deal? Why would he want to re-sign with a terrible Orlando team?
